Aoa! I’m facing ground clearance issues with 3rd gen prius. A mechanic advised me to either go for Spacers or install Prius Alpha suspension Springs. What should i do please advise. I’m not in favour of spacers so does installing prius alpha’s springs will solve the problem?
Do not make any alterations or replacements. The vehicle is designed for this ground clearance.
Instead adopt driving habits suitable toow ground clearance. Slow down dead on speed breakers.
Yes Prius Alpha springs are taller and he told me that has done the replacement in other cars too

Have you checked for yourself? Plus, I won't really recommend you to do it as the spring will be compressed in the shock assembly making your ride stiff.
even with 17 rims and thicker side profile tires on a priusit became a see saw on a speed breaker . we wr 4 people in the car only. Prius low clearance is notorious n every second car is on spacers
The issue happens When passengers are sitting in the car, without passengers it does fine
Yeah that’s one drawback of it, the car will loose its comfort but I’m concerned if this is going to be feasible or not
Yeah it cause problems sometimes, you just can’t go sideways on every single speed bump when there is traffic, spacers make the car loose it’s comfort and stability
comfort - nostability - yes - center of gravity goes up ( you can put smaller spacers )
spacer sits on top of the shock/spring.....shock movement is not hindered in anyway
That is up to you to decide. A stiff ride or a ride that scrapes on speed breakers?
