Hi Everyone.
If anyone can please guide me about replacement/service of Prius Hybrid Battery in Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
Is there anyone offering such service in Islamabad/Rawalpindi..

It would be better to buy the battery yourself and then take it to any mechanic for replacement.

For hybrid batteries you can go to Sultan Ka Khoo or IJP road where there are truck workshops, there are some a lot of shops for JDM car parts.

Take a simple Voltmeter/ Ammeter. Test the voltage of each cell which should be 7.6-8 volts.

There are people in Pakistan that are offering replacement of cells that are weak so that you dont have to change the whole battery but thats the wrong approach since these cells are balanced to each other so a full battery pack is the way to go.

Go for a new battery, it will cost a 1 lac for this all process (buying and fitting).

As a member mentioned places in isb, do not go for cells changed as not always the others cells accept the new cells. For time being the error is removed after changing cells but it bother after some time.

Ohh and yeah if you are a DIY type of person it is very very easy to replace a hybrid battery at home. Tons of videos on Youtube and its completely safe

The direct current voltages are very lethal as compared to household ac voltages.........above 100 volt dc can cause death of person....so while handling hybrid vehicles battery....on should be very careful and wear protective gear

But if u pull out the orange switch on the peft side of the pack the system is neutralized.

No risk until its back in place.

There is a orange safety plug which completely kills the battery so its safe to remove and put a new one back in . not at all dangerous
