Prius or Corolla? Confusion and doubts everywhere

A friend has already tested his 1.8 Prius with a Grande CVTi, gave 4 cars gap to it, and I personally gave a 4 car gap to 9th Gen Civic prosmatec in my Prius.

Giving 4 cars gap to a sluggish prosmatec transmission civic is understandable. But giving 4 cars gap to a cvt equipped corolla which has no delays or whatsoever. That's hard to digest. Look at the figures above.

The transmission in Prius is advanced version of CVT, 1 speed planetary gear. Plus Prius has the advantage of Instant Electric Torque which gives it a really good headstart.

Well you are maybe right about electric torque or cvt advantage but actual figures posted by @fazalwahab11375 are simply contradicting your statement (9.7 sec for corolla and 10.1 sec for prius) and it is also mentioned that prius is also more heavier. How can you say that it just gave 4 cars gap to a cvt corolla?

Many of features in prius is of less or no use in pak,
Our environment is dusty corollas are made to bear all that tashadud from our environment and road conditions and the most important its height is high and ground clearance is good so it wont touch our big speed breakers,
While in prius you will get some good features like auto ac traction control immobilizer etc etc but it will be used and its too low and hit our big breakers badly,
Choice is yours

Guys, I was just checking on the prices of a Prius (G touring leather selection). After checking the prices, I felt that they were pretty expensive, they were around 26-27 lakhs. A graded car is always expensive than the rest, don't buy from any dealer, that is accidental material.
My S-Touring cost me almost 27 lakhs last January when I bought it.

From dealers, yes, and by accidental I mean totaled vehicle not road worthy according to International standards, which our local "ustaads" dent paint disable some sensors and they are displayed at showroom as TOYAL JENIYAN.

Man......for all those praising the prius.....be practical guys.......yeh technical cheezen......keep em aside for a while
I got my civic hit in the first month of the purchase, right bumper spacer (clips where the bumper sits with the fender) broke. Not the bumper clips but the ones on the body. Went to honda, got a brand new packed spare with honda part number on it for 600rs. All good.
mein us insaan ko maan jaon ga jo prius ka new bumper spacer market me dhund le. It is hard to find it for an axio let alone a prius.
and for those who says prius is low to the ground and more stable, tu yaar wo har jaga scrape bhi tu karte hai na. The street entrance to my home is uneven and a fellow's 2005 camry scrapes there. So I should get a prius because it's low and stable and scrape it all the time

how many "PRIUS FANs" have purchased a BRAND NEW PRIUS raise hands please...! USED JDM junk with doubtful track & history has no bearing to any non-sense rant let alone doing a comparison with a BRAND NEW Liquid fuel car which is delivered with a warranty.

Practically PRIUS is a non-sense junk in Pakistan unless fully trained technicians at Toyota 3S shops are able to rectify the problems using software instead of doing ' Practical Jokes' at customers cost.

Prius fans just tell me one thing, what you guys will do in case your car breaks down in the middle of road? Or for some reason your car's performance is not up to the mark and fuel economy has gone down due to some reason? Is there any mechanic or Toyota dealership which can rectify the problem?

Simply NO.

Now please don't present that logic it's heavenly Jdm and landed here in Pakistan straight from jannat and it is indestructible or it cannot break down. It's a machinery and it can break down anywhere anytime. Oh I forgot you guys bought a used prius with questionable history. Not even a brand new vehicle. So probability of breaking down is more than a new car. LOL.

For example my 2010 model Honda City's fuel economy and performance had gone down despite of regular maintenance from Honda 3s. Drove back to them, they rectified and solved each and every problem related to fuel economy and performance issue in 3 hours and charged 3000 rs and handed back the car to me. Car now runs as good as new.

This thread is turning more into a war thread, Alhamdulillah I have both and am in a better situation than anyone to give a clear verdict, and that is Prius is better as long as you buy an authentic vehicle.
