I have recently changed my gear oil for prius 2007 as per my knowledge capacity is about 4 litres for it. But my mechanic pour upto 5.5 litre, its look like that ii reduce the car efficency and speed.Kindly guide about accurate capacity of CVT oil.What should I do now?Any reasonable place I should go?I just drove 40 kms only after it.
Go to toyota dealership and just confirm capacity and come back. Don't tell them anything. I guess your mechanic is right, but still confirm it.
Don't overfill transmission oil (or engine oil for that matter).
Check online or user manual and adjust if required. Until you verify it, don't drive your car to risk is transmission.
