I have vitz 2009. from last year or so i was experiencing the problem of the car's pick n when it is driven within the city its engine stops when car is in D but at halt specially in hot weather when AC is ON. Driving on a steep road was very difficult n i used to switch off my AC but it used to have a very little impact on car's pick. I showed it to many mechanics n every mechanic had his own idea to repair.They usually use to work on hit n trial method. Some opened its catalytic converter and washed its gauze with acid, other said its criminal to wash it with acid so cut it open n cut the upper layer of gauze n weld it again. some said it has some problem in fuel filter so replace it. I was thinking of selling my car. I m not a mechanic but own a car n driving from last 24 yrs. I had the opinion that there was some problem with shifting of gear n gear system should be repaired or adjusted. Finally i went to a mechanic in F10 Markaz n asked him to open gear box n replace gear oil n clean its filter. To tell u the truth from that day onward my car is running smooth n its pick is as a 1000 cc car should have. Must change gear oil after 40000 KM. Wanted to share it coz i thought it might help others. thanx
