Problem with Vitz

I own vitz 2001 model.

The problem is whenever I turn of the O/D which lets the car to be driven on 4th gear. Whenever the car shifts to 4th gear it doesn't accelerate , it keeps on decelerating and shifts back to 3rd gear.

What could be the problem?

Please Help Asap.

How does da car perform's on da normal gears..!

Totally fine , but when it shifts to 4th gear , it doesn't pick up any speed. And if I accelerate too hard , it shifts back to 3rd gear with a jerk.

Mate it cant be something related to the throttle body fo sure get ur Tranny checked..!

4th is overdrive and wont let you accelerate fast, if you floor the accelerator fully it will KICKDOWN to 3rd and accelerate the car fast and shift to 4th once you let off. If you press the O/D off button your transmission will not engage 4th (overdrive gear). The 4th in an Auto is like 5th in a normal manual.

btw using cng?

another point to check is that your throttle sensor is calibrated to your throttle lever perfectly, our ullu ke patthay mechanics love to fiddle with the throttle stop screw throwing the sensor out of calibration.

The throttle wire in my car is a little loose, like a play of 2 cm so tightening it will cause the Thorttle Position sensor misaligned let me knoe so that I can proceed with the DIY, there is no problem in gaining the speed now but I feel to tight the wire.

actually when it shifts to 4th gear even if I don't push the accelerator too hard it will decelerate no matter what , it feels like engine has lost all the power .. and driving while o/d off on motorway with the speed of 120 km/h , the engine cries.

I don't have much knowledge about cars technicality .. can you suggest what to do in simple manner?
