Problematic Mini Pajero

Hey guys, I have recently bought a Mini Pajero Model 1999 (with rectangular headlights). I find my ride to have following problems:
1. It sways (literally rocking from side to side) if the milage hits over 90 kmp.
2. It gives a mild but constant "sssssvvvvvvvvvv" sound while running, as if it were whistling from the engine.
3. It does not hit beyond 120 kmp on fuel and not beyond 90 kmp on CNG.

Can anyone please give me some advise on the above issues? What appears to be the problem and what do I do to fix them?

yeah, sell the mini pajero, get a mehran stiffen the suspension and enjoy.....mini pajero my friend is cursed...=)

i think you have made the right decision of buying a mini with square lights. your problems and probable solutions are here under.....

The swaying part is becos your front suspension needs replacement. that would also include your shock absorbers. the rear shocks needs to be inspected.

the hissing sound is from the Turbo if it has one. it should start whisteling from 2000 rpm i think and will continue to increase. if it is a non turbo model it could be a leak in the silencer.

and yes the speed part......if you have proper original plugs installed and clean air filter it should do 130. this is a small car bro you will have to compromise on speed here. with CNG it should do 110-115......

i dont see the problem in your cng installation but i see it in the tune up. there are after market plugs available but dont go for these. Buy original since they will last a year plus.

hi, the swaying could be just the wheel alignment, if the car starts shaking only after a certain speed then it could just be the wheels need to be balanced and have the air checked, before you spend money on the suspension and springs check these basics first,

By the way, I was reading about Computer check-up for Mini Pajero on one of these forums? What is that about? and where could I get it done?

Regarding the computer check-up, u can check with wazir auto electrician, fire brigade. he is quite good in computer diagnostics.

My Mini would sway too when I bought it. The problem was rear shocks. Also changed the plugs and coils and the car came alive.

The only issue I had was to find factory replacement shocks. I tried some "jeep" shocks and it made the ride extremely harsh. I ended up taking some coure rear shocks and modding them a bit to fit. The length was almost the same as the factory ones.

   A: many reasons such as tyres r gone .. wheel allignment and balance required .. air presure checked .. i suggest to keep it 28 not above that bcuz mini is light weight .. just imagine a 660cc engine moving the whole body with person sitting inside .. engine capacity is even less than mehran : )

   A: well that the turbo fan sound ... the turbo starts itself at around 3 - 4rpm

3. It does not hit beyond 120 kmp on fuel and not beyond 90 kmp on CNG
   A: get ur transmission computer checked if it's auto tranny ...
