I must say a great thread by Istafa, must have helped many trying to get their degrees attested. But there are different procedures for different cities. Let me add here for Karachi
1. HEC attestation: You will need to visit any OCS office and submit your degree with original supporting documents like HSC cert and marksheet, degree and transcript. You will have to collect it from OCS office in DHA, I don't the phase.
2. Foreign Affairs: Goto the office of ministry of foreign affairs near FTC building, bring with you photocopy of the degree and CNIC. Get the stamp from window for 25 rupees and submit the degree in the other window you will know where to. You get your degree the next day from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
3. UAE Embassy: I have not yet my degree attested from UAE embassy but bukhari travels at punjab chorangi takes the documents for attestation.

Have a quick question! I have done o'level and have certificates for the same and have an Hsc Provisional Certificate from my College....will this be all I need to get my Bachelors degree attested? Or would I need to get a certificate from the interboard which I never needed for my admission into the bachelors program at my university.

You'll require only the Certificates. Not the ones that have a validity on them but the final certificates that are issued by Cambridge afterwards. As far as I know, you don't need Equivalence Certificate.

First of all thank you very much for finding time to post superb guidelines for attestation/verifications. Would it be convenient for you to please let me know the procedure of photocopies attestation after completion of IBCC and HEC attestation.

Normally you submit the photocopies along with the original certificates for attestation. You pay for the original and number of photocopies that you want to get attested. If you want to get them attested now, the procedure is the same however, this time you wont pay for the original certificates.

I am a Literature and Language teacher based in Karachi. I was asked to have my degrees ( graduation and 2 post-graduation) verified from KU. However, it was after the HEC attestation portal that I am a little confused. Should I go for the HEC attestation ONLY? Will that still require me to go for KU verification? If I live in Karachi, will I still be able to obtain a slot for my personal visit? Do they have any authorized offices here in Karachi?

From The KSA recruitment guideline , I could see quite a need of translated versions of original documents. What should be taken to the Saudi Embassy here? Will they attest the translated version or the original?

Do I sound very disoriented? Yes, that's what exactly I am . Being caught in the rut of completing my current professional obligations and yet trying to complete the documentation has been taking a toll. As could be gauged, I can't miss a lot of working days at my current workplace too.

To present your degrees outside Pakistan, you've to get them verified by the HEC as it is the only authority other countried recognize. In case of getting a job, they require attestation from the respective embassies and foreign office as well. As far as Saudia is concerned, I think you've to get translation of almost everything. They'll need the translated version for their reference. Most probably they will attest both or just the translated version as it would be easily understood by the authorities in KSA.

There are agents who get this kind of work done for you and charge for it. Search it online to find any in Karachi. For HEC attestation, you can nominate someone with the authority to get the work done on your behalf.

No. It is not necessary. HEC will verify it from your University. That's the whole purpose of getting your degrees attested.

I need to get attested my graduation and post graduation degrees from HEC. I have been selected for PhD Indigenous scholarship and i need to submit attested photocopies of degrees by HEC. I'm trying to reserve my time through online system but I have got free time slot on December 31, 2012. But the last date to submit those attested copies is December 12, 2012. Is there any process for walk-in applicant without any prior time reservation through online system?

I think you can go as a walk in applicant but for that you'll have to go very early in the morning. Also, please call and confirm from HEC and they'll guide you exactly.

Depends... Can be an issue when it comes to UAE. Hope for the best but I've seen UAE Embassy making issues out of such things and sometime ignoring them.

Also, OCS courier service in Pakistan has this facility that they take your degree and get it attested, is it a reliable source to get such a work done by them?

Hmmm... The best way is to give a call to HEC. I am sure they'll ask you to get it re-attested as a part of the stamp is on the ticket. So if you've done it before, it won't be difficult for you to get it done again. However, you may ask them this time and they make you go through an easier process with less documentation.

OCS is reliable. Many have used their services for attestation purposes. If you are not in a hurry, you may use its services.

For the third part of your query, I've mentioned in that for such attestations, there is an authorized agent in almost every big city. If you can't find it in Lahore, you may come to Islamabad for a day and handover your documents to SASHA in Libra Market aka Khadda Market in G-7. You can search their contact no. online. Do give them a call to confirm the documents required, their timings and the charges. Once you handover your documents to them, you'll have an option to get it couriered to you after attestation.

Can anyone help me regarding my US Degree attested by Saudi Culture Mission USA and Saudi Embassy USA.

I already have the Notarized and Attested by US State Dept. for my attestation for UAE Embassy USA and MOFA-UAE.

Very very very important and informative thread. Me too wants to attest my degree from HEC and was looking for info and found this thread. A few questions.

1. I just want to attest my Masters degree. Will they still be needing my Bachelors, Inter and Metric certificates?

2. There is a problem and that is I have lost my Bachelors degree. It is probably somewhere in home but I can't seem to find it. I have the original transcript with me. Will this be a problem?

3. I don't have original Inter marks sheet but I do have its copy. Will it work?

4. Can't I just go to HEC Karachi office, get in line and attest my degree? Or do I have to apply online first?

5. Found the following info on HEC website. Does it mean I will have to remove plastic coating from degree!?

No, laminated degrees cannot be attested. Before submission of degrees for attestation, these are required to be delaminated.

For Saudia. I want to attest my MCS degree (PAF-KIET) but I have lost my B.Com degree.

Thanks to Allah I have found my B.Com degree. So now can I get my MCS degree attested if I have the following documents?

9th marks sheet
10th marks sheet
Matric certificate

1st year marks sheet
2nd year marks sheet (photocopy)
Intermediate certificate

B.Com transcript

PGD transcript
PGD certificate

MCS transcript

All are original except 2nd year marks sheet because I submitted it in University at the time of taking admission in B.Com and haven't taken back. I don't even know why they would need marks sheet when I have the inter certificate. Do you think I can proceed with attestation now?
