It is actually the good ol' hills of Karal which are being flattened out for the construction of a housing project in Bahria Town style. Yes, this is the same place where IJC has had tons of offroading events over the past two years!

And believe it or not, this is what all remains of our favourite water crossing Guess we could still take a left after the new bridge and hunt for new tracks....

But keeping in touch with the times, the Karal dirt appears to have been made to yield to the might of the speed bug...... Patli Gali, Salman chowk and other climbs are now history

nice but temporary playground for rally masters but really sad news everything gone and only alive in pictures and vdos.... ab hum apnay bachoon ko kia bataeen gey k humara playground kahan tha....

Hahaha! Cheeky! But I like it! I think Usama was not worried with the water on the screen (at this stage at least :)).... he had more of an issue with the mud scraps flying onto his face from the front tires... note mud on top of FJ's fenders

@SK.... now-a-days the restoration has taken a new turn and the old (but powerful) engines like B and C series are rear to be seen going in in any new project.... its an era of Punga with Electrofied V power and 2-Jay-Zee .... damn to much power to handle on and off road but soon we will learn and sync in well..... Jayho

@SK- the stabilizer bar is a must! body roll felt a lot more then it seems in the pictures and we weren't even going that fast. if 33's wont increase the body roll then i guess thats final. sometimes theres just too many choices! (paint) now i'm thinking maybe we should just keep it simple? (i know I'll change my mind as soon as we start talking graphics)

@DeeDee- SK's rite, the screen we had gotten used to, the dirt slaps, now that was something new and i guess the "face seems" is obvious.

@SK, This is a very fast FJ, had a ride on one this and it was fund. D-12 is offroading paradise these days, the mountains and weather gives a good kick. Its close to IJC's old rally ground in E-10

Tires: @nn tells us that Dunlop Grandtrek AT3 tyres in size 285/75R 16 are available for some 16k a piece. Thats something like a 33x11.2x16 tire which sounds like a good size though with 1.25 inches less width than the 33x12.5s....

Body Roll: I thought so too, at this stage its quite inconceivable to get these cars to drift in any real sense... stabilizer bars front and back with double shocks = lots of work!

i havnt had any problems driving it nice and slow in the city. the peddle did stop working for a bit when i had to brake hard once. m very happy to hear about the rally, seems as if they just would not go ahead without us

Use the same rim... Operation Rewire on the 1UZ Concordia is making slow progress.... all the theory has been completed while the practicalities still need to be overcome. Thanks to @Akif for his help and encouragement there! Photo by @EhsanKiani while we were taking off the engine wiring!

@DeeDee: True that! Though nothing new to have lots of power in jeeps and 4x4s as CJs/Wags/Broncos/Rovers have been seeing V8 both from the factory and enthusiasts since the 60s....

@DesertDevil: Thanks a lot! We will be needing your help to make these bricks drift across the Cholistan sands! Will add another video we shot in 4x4 mode where I think we still managed 9 to 10 secs despite of rain and somewhat slow shifts again....
