Project: Corolla 3SGTE

Last night I was with Racer brothers and was surprised at what was actually cooking up thier heads. All four brothers were sitting and talking about a Corolla with 3SGTE, moded suspension, cams, head, bigger turbo, exhaust and ECU and whatever. Most of the thing went over my head as I'm not guru for tech terms.

In simple words, they got a performance shop of thier own now, with Dyno and other latest stuff, and they want to create a Monster Rolla which can kick the 5HiT outa any fast or furious car on the road.

I'll be trying to get more detail soon and pix if they started it this week, lets see what happens.

Well we are looking for a good Ae101 rolla to place the 3SGTE and it would replacment for the Mitsu. Eclipse. This is all I can tell you at this time but will keep you folks updated.

Its an American Corolla with 1.8ltr, cruise control, and every extras needed in a high spec car.....

Actually this was an experiment in the back of my head for a while now. And due to the availability of tools and workshop with a Dyno it has been possible to act on it. Thanks for all the wishes

Whatever she's asking is not an issue, just let me know. I wanted this to be the project 'coz it has longer bumper and nose, which can help in a bigger Intercooler. I also know that engine is gona be scrapped but as you know its 1.8 ltr and I think it will better to handle a 2.0 ltr instead of a gulf spec 1.3 ltr car. The interior is also much better looking.

Btw, I've seen a couple of hatchbacks in Sharjah, wana check them out? They are also American Spec I believe.

keep the old engine from the car, i made a mistake of leaving my car's old engine at mech's now i regret it.

sound like a project racerf1...but as levin said...cant you work on the stock 1.8L engine. Its a low compression motor but im sure you can boost it upto 8-9PSI without much of a problem...may be more if you port and polish the head and do some work on the bore and stroke.

what do u have ultimately in mind? a drag car or just a fast street driver?
