I will try to answer your concerns one by one. Firstly starting with the structural elements I.e. roof and pillar. The problem with the original roof and pillars of the car were that somebody patched and repaired the skin of roof by gas welding, which resulted in disfiguring of the roof line. Then to cover the finishing in low price, body filler was used excessively. The car doesn't show any signs of major accident, so the frame was intact. Though I also didn't want to change the roof, but to give the car a longer life and better looks it was required. Let's wait and see what comes out on this
The roof we sourced was the best option available in market with no prior repairs done. But there was rust on some critical places, those patches have been partially patched by soldering. The finishing of the soldered patches is yet to be done, similarly small soldering/ filling work is remaining.
About the level of finishing we will reach with the patchwork and overall body work, will be clear in coming two weeks Inshallah.
