The trunk area has been aligned and the denter moved on to setting the B-Pillars of right side (as we found that it was a bit pressed to inner side in past to adjust the door lines with body filler filled panels). Now the hood is being scrapped and area under the front fender is being reinspected. (As the body work for this area was done previously)

pls treat the yellow marked area for rust.

and yes when the paint job starts, paint the area behind the grill "BLACK" as circled in orange.
If u have plans to keep engine bay cleaned, please move the wiring harnes inside the dender areas and the wiper bucket areas......just a suggestion

please request your denter to remove the door from door hinges scrub the frame and apply 2 coats of bitumen ( damar ) or any anti rust paint before fenders are installed. as marked in red

There is supposed to be a rubber gasket on that little fender shield to prevent water from getting to the hinges, I dont recall the exact year, but Nissan used to apply a non-set silastic rubber to that, But they applied the same compound to the top and front edges where the mudguard met the body.

Scrapping of roof and pillars started, the right side A- Pillar's situation after removal of the body filler. The pillar was poorly repaired earlier by doing patching on the external surface.

The roof has been partially scrapped as of today. Didn't take the pictures as I forgot my mobile at home, IA will visit again tomorrow morning to take the pictures.

The roof is turning out as the biggest challenge for this project as it has multiple holes in it which were previously repaired by sticking metal pieces from beneath and then covering the whole thing with thick layer of body filler.

the issue of roof and pillars can be resolved by finding a good car from shehrshah scrap yard. but that will take timeto find.

if u can do, search for the roof and pillar in shershah and during that time ask ur dentar to complete other portions of the body

I am not in favour of replacing the original roof and/or pillars. What I am thinking is;

1- For Pillars: To be repaired on surface by fabricating the external side based on dimensions of my other 120Y (which is pretty neat in term of body lines) and then carefully patching it to the original pillar.

2- For Roof: The holes to be soldered (in place of welding) and then leveled by grinding/ sanding. Then the roof to be finished with fine layer branded body filler (3m or equivalent) from both sides i.e. inside and outside.

Would love to have feedback of friends here on my idea and I am very open to explore better solutions
