3sfe is boring engine. yr left eating dust , even if you use noz, refills get expensive.

sr20det is what thing needs, or a 3sge if cant find 20det.

last but not least 20v blacktop running on itb is way better choice than 3sfe, at least you can rev it up and get power too

@ levin : bro plans were initially to get the sr20-det. however i could not find the motor at the time. The 3sge was also just available in FWD. However, im not building this baby to race. I have done some research to transplant a 3sge Head to my current motor. The block is exactly the same and with some mods the transplant is very much possible. However I'm going to make the decision in a while. Getting the basics right is my priority atm. Doing major changes in the suspension as well. Due to the space limitations, the CA18DET would be a better option than the SR20DET. Anyway lets see how it goes!

@ capsat: will deffo keep your head's up. As far as the cuore successor goes there is nothing lined up in the next year or two to match the hatchback class. IMC is going much wilder with their approach to the market. cannot release details unfortunately.

he planning to change head. lets see what outcomes.

20v blacktop, it has larger rpm band , better for drift so you can stick in one gear for longer time as drift is usuallya balance throttl game,, yr foot keep going up and down on gas padel to balance the drift.

3sfe donest run smooth on higher rpm,, its more like 2az fe , engine starts screaming.

also , modified air intake inbox is good but its not as good as orginal airbox on throttle.

30mm individual throttle bodies is best if yr have less space on side on engine.

modified version, upwards pointing itb is also a solution,, put filter socks after a wiremess grill on itb, and yr good to go high rpm

if you want air suction roar, then 70mm horns are way to go.

hey i found a datsun 120 four door in scarp there is no engine and gear box. can i get the parts and there is no papers of the car. so can the papers get done also? the old guy for 40.000 is that a good ? help

Am new to pakwheels but an old time old car enthusiast. I recently started a thread here documenting the restoration of an old "fintail" Mercedes but am also a big time Datsun fan and have owned a 1973 model since 1985 which am very very fond of. A lot of the electrics are in common with your coupe. What is the latest with the project?
