For both the engines I have to get alot of alterations done , the original engine is very light and economical for me as I travel alot in the city and the cost of buying a 4AFE and 4AGE is very expensive my total budget is 80000PKR for this car of which I have spent 31000 on the engine with all new parts rest will go on denting painting rims hids and interior.

I've kapy a 1975 corolla for about 18 years. It's an awesome car. I must have driven if over 250,000 kilometers. Great fuel average, extrmely easy maintenance, super rugged and durable, unbeatable reliability. Good luck for the project, my friend!

glad that you are keeping the 76 restoration "stock". my advice is to stick to a stock colour, infact i think the original orange colour is the way to go since that was how it came from the factory.

if you were to go for some other colour i'd suggest meteorite grey which comes in the vitz.

as far as engines are concerned, stick to the original one. i was lucky enought to go to lahore in spectras corrolla and the original engine performed really well. fitting high revving engines etc in such cars isn't such a bad idea but for that you'd have to upgrade EVERYTHING and it's pretty pointless since you are not buuilding a racer.

I will 2nd Storm's comment here. The body looks clean, anyways Mardan is the market to get clean Kabli body parts of this model wind screen, grill, bumpers, geninue tail lights, fresh side door windows, dashboard and the list goes on. Its original seats and door side panels have distinctive look and keep them original as well. Keeping the same color will save effort, however it is recommended to get rid of the old paint & start from the scratch to get the classic look. It might sound boring but the car will look great in its original rims & hub cap :), search for the 1 which covers the complete RIM (very hard to find item). I have a 1976 manual book of my dad's car & will gift U the same if U opt for stock resto

The colours which come in my list are :-

1.The gun metallic colour which comes in the vitz 2001 model

Electric Blue colour
Original colour restored
Copper Colour

Lets see with the flow of time as the colour work will start after the denting is complete after 6 days

Had this car since the day i was born my dad used to drive it thn he gave it to me eventually with alot of hardships , this car has been driven so much all across the Pakistan since the day it was born and specially by me in Karachi still it never ever betrayed me , very much reliable , affordabler , durable and cheap maintenance cost , the drive is simply amazing road grip is good and keeping it original without changing engine and doing alteration will make it even better

I live all the way in Karachi for parts I have to go to sheershah for the front new grill , I want seat beats for the car as everything is in good shape , interior is in good shape aswell and I don't think ican get the original rims for 1976 corolla in Karachi , Lol i ll try to restore it to 100 % but I doubt about the rims because i will add some cool rims in this car , thanks for the offer sir

hey bro go for gun matalic also some one has done it in peshawar to his 76 rolla and else car is restored back to stock condition even rims are stock and that car has a great road presence
and i like strom bhai's idea of repainting the original color b/c inlong term it will be good and u don't need to change the inside color

I have original hubcaps,overhead console for this car as well as countless other parts mostly for coupes TE37.

I will bring them with me next time I visit Pakistan, They are yours for free.

Overhead console only came in coupe TE37
