Now it was time to stretch flannel cloth over the uncovered surfaces. I tried to look for the hot glue gun, but could not find it ... it was about 1 am already ...

I had a firm deadline to meet in the morning. So I had to find a way. Heating the glue some other way was a ridiculous idea, but finally had no other way, but to follow this route

In this process, I got hot glue on my fingers several times .... It is surely not comfortable to get it on your unprotected fingers, but I did not let a shriek/ Punjabi obscenities come out of my mouth during burning process of my fingers ... My daughter was there and I did not want to introduce the Punjabi slang to her ...

My daughter is an expert in origami ... she knows it better than the Japanese ... You can say she is in advanced level of origami ... my Japanese friends always wonder how a child could go to this level without attending an origami institute.

I must acknowledge her help in folding flannel over tricky and difficult contours of the sub enclosure

It was certainly a "jugaar" due to time deadline I had. Hundred of these improvised joints were required to glue the flannel into place

Our local fiberglass workers are not familiar with this technique. I learnt it from the internet. However, in the examples that I saw on the internet, power staplers are used to attach cloth to wooden structures.

In this case, it was not wood, it was fiberglass ... and I did not have a power stapler. I actually tried to look for a power stapler, but the shopkeeper indicated the pitfalls in getting the special staple pins ...

Bhai, if you go back to previous pages, you will find larger subwoofer enclosures with more weight ...

In this process, multiple aims were achieved.

Replace the SPL ported enclosures with SQ sealed enclosures.

The previous ones needed to be strapped into place due to awkward center of gravity. Now the new ones have much better center of gravity which will avoid tipping over of the enclosures due to off center center of gravity.

Another achievement was to make more trunk space available. Previously the available width in the trunk was about 25 inches. Now with the present installation, the available width in the trunk is not less than 36 inches. Theoretically that should make my wife happy while preparing luggage for traveling.

It took more than one hour to glue the flannel onto the fiberglass for one box...
