The main purpose of this project as stated in the subject was to make something suitable for hunting which surely it is. And it has become one reliable machine bro.

I was waiting for the hunting season to finish so that i start some more upgradations/ modifications on the veh. I had the following three plans to do.

1. Fixing power steering.
2. Changing springs for more travel and flex, either by modifying shackles or by going for longer springs.
3. Converting in to 4 doors with some more mods.

So here is the update on the first step. It was not a very difficult thing to do, just needed some alteration in the steering box fixing on the frame. Initially this LJ 50 had a different steering box style of fitting. This was successfully done. The power pump and the power bottle were fixed on the original settings as the 660 cc jimny engine has it's original mounts with it. The drive is better now. Here are few pics.

excellent project .. just a suggestion is that paint that hood scoop matt black or wrap it

Thanks for the nice words. As in the near future, i am going to convery it to 4 door so will consider the paint job also.

might i suggest you to go for darker shade of green or a nice burgundy color would be classic.

^Hahahaha zabardast hayzin, trust you to come up with such an idea! Koi shak nahi that it would be one of a kind LJ50 if it looks like this!

But on a serious note to make such mods would require a complete rebuild. Bigger engine + transmission, not to mention the suspension to accomodate bigger tires etc.

Toh sahi hai na Ali bhai, that is the best way to go about it! A complete makeover for the lil monster. Uss k baad Noman bhai will be flying through water and over hilly slopes to the max

Ali bhai and Hassan bhai, i wish i could do that. The pictures you shared are real beauties. In fact this will further improve the looks of the 50 but You know hunting, hunting and hunting. This is the only thing which stops me from going anything bigger than the existing. In the last couple of years i too much got inclined towards the IJC events and at times start fantasizing also about totally changing it to a real monster but not possible with the duty it performs. I hope i get the Russian UAZ and as i told you on ph, and i promise i will try to make something out of it that you are going to love it. Anyhow thanks for the interest. Regards

Although i did it but the suspension needs to be a bit more light with some more flex i believe.

The power steering project is working fine and had no major problems except fitting of a bearing in between the steering crosses to further smoothing the process.

Once again to get max travel on stock leafs, i did change the existing ones to original kabli ones with appropriate lengths.
