Even URO branded parts look good - they are at -50% quality (this is 50% below zero itself) - install them and install genuine next month , kharcha double.

Always emphasize to buy high quality parts. Good quality parts make a good quality car - thats what made MB and BMW so special.

btw did you find the ULLU (owl) of lemforder parts?

p.s. the oil cooler lines on your engine need to be checked - ideally replaced at this age. Use soft hydraulic pipe and get them crimped, Be very very very careful when unscrewing the pipes from the cooler. The dissimilar metals can lock together and you can end up stripping the threads, MB sells original "screwed nipples" repair kit for that problem. But thats easy to install, If the oil cooler lines let go you will be looking for a new engine.

btw did you buy new stock or old stock parts? look on the parts themselves for production date. Ive seen some shops in Pakistan sell 10 years old stock at current market prices. Felt like feeding them expired medicine.:mad:

i bought fresh stock..all the parts were bought from INDUS automobile in saddar Rawalpindi..and let me tell u..people in Pakistan don't know a thing about merc's..:/..I asked a shop fr that merc paint fr the inside's and original seat paddings and they said "k jee gaarri 40 saal puraani hai uska samaan kahan ana hai..gaarri khtatam tou samaan khatam"..I'm really disappointed bhai..so called professionals in merc, haha dnt know athing abt them.

The other paragraph you wrote about is not only for MB but for all brands. The people in this trade in Pakistan have no proper training or knowledge, they just are into it for "maal khareed maal farokht" and they buy the cheapest junk they can get their paws on. I know a few people who actually had import licenses for some japanese origin parts like gaskets, valve guides, clutches etc. They were OK but the retailers with the shops are plain crooks.

I have seen fake Honda genuine parts sold as genuine parts. The part no.stickers were incorrect as they were obsolete nos or other assy nos. When questioned they start from "bhai hum to itna nahin pata" to "lena hai to lo warna jao".. I cannot stand such crooks and morons in business. So its not new they would say ke gaari puraanee hai bhai - ghaneemat samjho ye bhi hai, because they treat parts like FMCG - which does not work.

THen you get the ones who have 10 to 20 year old parts sitting in some bin and they try to sell it to you for current value, YEAH RIGHT, Pak rupee to DM value was quite different then to what Pak rupee to euro is today - so I will not pay 400% profit.

All of them are not thiefs or thugs! A number of time I have bought old stock in very reasonable price. even last week I bought 2 upper ball joints of 73 MKII for Rs700!

Great work going on. Dont take tension of prices, they are fine and Indus Automobiles have a good repute. I just rebuilt front suspension of my lucida and believe me yours is much much cheaper
