hey apply the formula dashboard polish to the lights plastic lens. it would keep em from yellowing up. and those check the parts where the denter sanded the metal. it shud be smooth like glass, there should not be any visible deep scratches otherwise you will still be able to see em when the car is resprayed

remove the dash too - I can gurantee its loaded with filth behind it seeing the rest of the car. Service the A/C while its out, clean and wax everything, assemble back to spec.

The plastic has been polished already and regarding the sanding... I should really acknowledge and appreciate the painter's work. He have sanded the car so many times that whenever I saw him, I saw him sanding. He sanded each and every part to perfection. The body was super smooth I must say.

Indeed. But they are now painted. I am glad the reflector is clean as new and the lights are looking hot.

Once again, these two days were extremely busy. I had to rush to the workshops without eating anything and stayed there till 11 or 10:30 at night. I had another car with me yesterday and today therefore I was busy with it as well. Seems like this is the season to get the cars done.

As the car had to be with the mechanic, therefore my movement was bound and I kinda missed some work that was being done on City. Well, the good news is that the car has been painted, finally... Alhamdolillah...

So this is how I get to see the car on eleventh day. The painter was still sanding the paint and was looking for any imperfection left.

In the meanwhile, I asked the other painter to paint the inner frame of the headlights so that it may be sealed before attaching again.

Matte Black Paint:

One was done.

This was the end result. Lets see how will they look on a shiny black City.

by using matt black paint you have just wasted a set of nice headlamps - correct tinted headlamps have a shiny gray tint on the chrome of the cosmetic reflector not matt black.

You could have used a toner on them.

Till the end of eleventh day, this is what the car looked like. It had received another layer of covering which was sanded again in the morning as that was the time fixed to give it its base paint.

On twelfth day, i.e. today, this is how I get to see the car. It had received its base paint and was being prepared to get the first coat of Metallic Black paint. The painters were once again sanding the car for any other imperfections that might have left.
