I feel repetitive display of Tata or Mahindra or Bajaj products over Pakwheels by some Indian members as a sign of progress the Indian auto industry has infact turned it into an overdose and such overdoses are always found to be counter productive.
It actually happens like this' Whenever a new Indian member joins the pakwheels, he thinks he is the only one to tell the story from this side and thus he starts the same story again.
It happened with me also but very soon I realised after pondering over the posts of nickatnite and kavs that they have already flooded the site with too many pictures of Indian cars.
Indeed, this things averted myself getting into the same slush. But I must accept this fact that some of my friends are still not ready to accept that we need to go further than Indica. safari, Scorpio, Pulsar, Bolero etc.
There is a plenty of useful information which could be shared. The Indian context is not limited to TATA's Mahindras, Bajaj only. There are hundreds of others and their respective stories could be discussed here.
Simultanously, the Indian members must display genuine interest in Pakistani auto industry. I find myself too much interested in Pakistani products and try my hand at each and every post at pakwheels dealing with auto scene there.
Do not feel anything like "way ahead of way behind " Just read this and see how much respect anything Pakistani derives here.
We have a very old ( 1955-60 ) 5 HP Kirlosker motor at our farm in Western UP and it was one of the very first motors to be brought in that part of country by Punjabi farmers. The motor is still doing good job at a tubewell where a 10 hp motor find it difficult to cope. On its brass plate it is written " FOR SALE IN INDIA PAKISTAN AND NEPAL ONLY " now all the villagers who have ever seen this motor usually quote this motor as a mark of quality and conclude that " Bhai Yeh Khalis Pakistani item hai Barriyaa to hogi hee " as they treat this motor as Pakistani due to Pakistan being written on the brass plate.
Indeed this is an Indian motor but still Pakistan is regarded as a better Ilaaka or area among Indian Masses.
Then we have Farmers from Pakistani Punjab and we call them Baarias ( People living in the Baar area of erstwhile Punjab Upper Baar etc ). These are generally Jatt farmers basically from Cis Satluj area but allotted ( Murrabaas ) large chunks of irrigable fertile lands in the Baar belt of West Punjab for their chivelry shown in the Military services by the British. These people are known for better diet habbits, rich culture and far more aggressive martial character and these people usually quote instances saying " Oye oh tah changey weley Pakistan diyan galaan see hun oh zamaney kithey ney veera "
As far as state of develoment of any industry is concerned it is a matter of hardly 5 to 15 years for any country to comeeup and cross the toppers/champions of the industry.
