brother ..for your information.. i was in the showroom for 4 hours on sunday.. and i have been researchign and discussing these cars from 5 months.. when you did not even know that there is a company called proton...

tha ground reality is that we are just not ready to accept anything new and good.. just because it is new....

and i am willing to buy impian.. not bcoz my dad would buy one for me... i willl be paying 20 - 30 k installments my self after paying 50 % down payment...

and one must be give benefit of the doubt to others.. when you dont know if others know sumthing or not... then you should assume that they know atleast 50% of that thing...

sum people here have experiences of driving and maintainig cars more than your age...

if you want to have comparison of proton cars with local available.. start topics like Gen2 vs city.. or saga vs cultus.. and we can all have a comparison there too .. in much more technical detail...

I still remeber your threads about your decision to select a car for yourself.
About proton, its good that u visited the showroon yourself, at least u explored some options unlike many others here.

Good for you that U have 1.4 Million to spend on a civic which cannot accomodate me at the rear seat (its a fact). Choice is yours but other people also have a choice of their own. U should respect choices of others as well.

Yeah, exactly, i can only comment or reply to logical questions. And all the logical questions have already been answered about proton. It is a different matter if you do not want to read them or beleive them and I think that is the case here.

In Wira u get following extra things

u get 14 inch alloys, a full boot (dikki). four power windows. 1500cc EFI 12 valve engine. Power steering, central locking, Remote keyless entry with alarm, Driver foot rest, Height adjustable driver seat and fold down rear seats and a 3 spoke steering wheel.

Extra 30K will get u factory fitted CNG and warranty is 2 years more that your loved Cultus.

The prices of the Proton cars in the Pak market are excessive is my humble opinion, especially the 'Saga' and the 'Wira'.I think the 'Saga' is the former Mitsubishi Mirage and i remember seeing them in Singapore during a visit in 1985!!!.They looked kinda cool then.But, 7 lacs for the car ??!!.And, the 'Wira' is an earlier generation Lancer that has long passed it's 'sell-by' date!!.The 'gen-2' and the 'Impian' are current but way too highly priced!.

I admire Proton and other Asian car manufacturers for standing up to the big guys and establishing a home grown car industry in their respective countries , but i dunno whether to blame Proton or the local distributors in Pakistan for what , in my humble opinion , is daylight robbery committed on the car buyer there regarding the prices!!.

I think the Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 currently sold in Pak is a much better buy than these cars.I respect everyone's individual choice, but i fail to understand the inordinate enthusiasm over the launch of this marque!!!.If someone can enlighten me as to the real reason for the 'brou-ha-ha' i shall be grateful!!.......

Good work bro thanks for lots of info.yes these cars r malaysian.my brother told me that malaysians also have the copy of MINI COOPER also with basic accories like a.c and belts etc but very cheap in price like 2 years back it cost like max 300k in Pak rupes.
