actually sir,,,,,,,,,,i will be graduating as electrical engineer this coming april and will start earning my own money sooner than u think,,,,,,,,,,,,still i wud go for a honda civic that is locally made instead of corolla x (60k driven,,,,,,still pay 9 lakh),,,,,no body knows what have they been doing in these cars and with these cars

secondly,,,,,u have stressed a lot on spending ur own cash instead of from ur father's money,,,,,,,,,,,thats good to hear bcoz ppl here are wasting their father's money in buying imported cars,,,,,,,,,,,which will last how much more,,,,,,,5 years max,,,,,,,,,,,oh thats great

the ppl who encourage to buy imported cars,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they have one agenda,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they want ppl to buy imported cars so that the local manufacturers reduce prices and they these ppl who encourage to buy imported cars can buy local cars themselves for less

also i think that ppl who live here in pakistan know much better how their fathers earn money ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so plz let everyone use their father's money like they do,,,,,,,,,,,,,,good sons dont ruin their father's money ,,,,,,,,but thats only in PAKISTAN,

you see how deeply the brains have been washed... its almost useless trying to fix that... no doubt all these cars are value for money...

if i were looking for a luxury sedan... i would go for Impian in 1050k rather than the new civic..

impian has got front dual airbags, alloys, good year tires... climate control, abs with EBD as standard..and most of all all the cars have got drivers seat height adjustable... which is not standard in the civic 1.8 vvti... bullsh*t

Why are you comparing the protons with a car that costs almost twice as much (Civic). Saga, Wira, Gen2 and Impian all cost less than the competition, that is why they have a big advantage. And under normal circumstances (international car market) people will definately buy these cars. What can be said about Pakistan, for us Suzuki is the benchmark.(what a joke)

why dont u accept what a person who has used these cars tells u about them,,,,,,,,,,no u wud say what ur brain says without driving it,,,,,without knowing its specs and without checking for its quality,,,,,,,,,,,,acha if protons believe in their quality ask them to give u test drives like the chevy optra,,,,,,,,,no they wont bcoz they know that its junk,,,,,,,,

but optra ones do give test drive bcoz they have strong belief that their car wont disappoint the users,,,,,,,,,,,

i am not at all against good imported cars like the OPtra but only against these thingies like the QQ,,,exclusive,,,,,proton,,,,,,,,,,,,which give u nothin but u wud still buy them just to improve competition,,,,,,,,ah i dont think ppl here have so much sympathy for ordinary ppl that u wud but these cars for common public

Ask me whatever u want.

And u think honda is good. Please do but dont try imposing it a forum which is meant for launch of proton cars in Pakistan. There is a honda civic fan club where u can talk about it.

i personally didnt liked any proton models
but gen 2 is exceptional

if we compare it with city steermatic then i think gen 2 1.6l ff cng has a edge over city steer

both the cars are priced 10 lakhs

advantages of gen 2 over city,lancer,liana,platz etc

sexy shape
ff cng (infront of city n platz only other competitors hav it)
climate control
leather seats
abs

but yeah i personally think tht comparing any of proton cars with civic isnt fair as civic is really a dream car for especially boyz of my age
civic shape
its grace
power
especially owesome interior
new technology

i mean every single thing is so unique n breath taking
i loveeeeeeeeeee civic

i love civic
then after tht
optra n gen 2 comes

altis is better but the same shape(XLI) is used a a taxi for most hotels n for other driving institute

so pls dnt compare gen 2 with civic
but u can compare it with city,liana,platz,corolla,yaris etc

My father was posted in Singapore from 1991 to 1995. Pakistan Embassy bought a Proton Saga 1.5 sedan not hatchback at that time for him. we used it till 1995. That car was driven 111,000 Kms in its first year. Only problem we faced was a broken Radiator fan. The car was used till 2001 and it did 6 lac plus Kms in its life on same engine.

ALso have u ever heard of an audio manufacturer named Blaupunkt? Chances are that u havent, these protons come standard with this German car audio manufacturer music systems. Our saga also had one and whoever used to come from Pakistan used to get astinished listening to the sound quality of it.

It had a 1.5 engine same one as we have in Wira (4G15) and it was with auto transmission

I recommend u not to buy a proton because u listen to whatever anyone tells u and then u get curious. BTW where is your optra?

Your earlier statements contradict the later ones. You are not well placed to compare or give opinnions about other cars because you are biased towards Honda as @spectra said. Both @salarzae and @spectra have better experience of Proton cars, far more than you or even me. But, you are not even trying to listen to what they are saying, instead, you are going for personal attacks. So, there doesnt seem any logic in your statements. This is sheer favourism.
