Keeping its promise, Proton Pakistan has launched locally assembled cars at lower prices than CBU units. According to the company, the prices are reduced upto Rs100,00.
And the prices of CKD units are given below.
Price of Locally Assembled Proton Saga
The first variant is Proton Saga 1.3 ACE A/T, and the price of its CBU unit was Rs2,225,000, while the cost of a locally assembled unit is Rs2,175,000, meaning the price is reduced by Rs50,000.
The second one is Proton Saga 1.3L Standard A/T, and its CKD price is Rs2,075,000, compared to Rs2,125,000, meaning it saw a reduction of Rs50,000. The final variant is Proton Saga 1.3L Standard M/T, which also saw a decrease of Rs50,000 as the price of its CKD unit is Rs1,925,000 against the CBU rate of Rs1,975,000.
Prices of Proton X70 CKD
The first variant is Proton X70 Executive All Wheel Drive (AWD), and the price of its CKD unit is Rs4,590,000, which is Rs100,000 lower than the CBU price of Rs4,690,000.
The second variant is Proton X70 Premium Front Wheel Drive (FWD), which also saw a decrease of Rs100,000 as the price of its CKD unit is Rs4,890,000 against the CBU price Rs4,990,000.

Delivery and Booking Status
The booking of both Saga and X70 is open, and the delivery time is May 2022. So visit your nearby Proton dealership and get your CKD unit booked.
This indeed is an excellent step by Proton Pakistan as it has kept its promise. It is pertinent to mention that the company made this announcement at the launch of Saga and X70. On the one hand, KIA and Toyota have increased the prices due to multiple reasons; Proton has reduced the costs of its cars, as promised.
This announcement will positively impact sales of these cars, and we will see more and more proton vehicles on the road.
