Proton SAGA!

yar just read abt the chinese geely car...yar in 6,99 its nice but still chinese.SAGA is malaysian brand and a successfull car in accord with euro-3 standards.although non-efi,still gives an avg. well above 13 on petrol.looks more beautiful sporty(and not cheap).

moreover,it has got a simple,sporty interior(someone told me it matched the interior of some european car probably Audii.
has got a nice tacho/rpm meter with Exotic LED indicators.

1)Back distance sensors
2)keyless entry with alarm
3)5-speed M/T(i think its also available in A/T)
4)Unthh Road grip(lol) front wheel-base is clearly wide
5)off course A/C, CNG
6)Detachable Clarion Cd-playa with two speakers
7)Opendoor sensor
8)chootu sa spoiler at rear end
9)
hasn't got a heater initially but the company will install it early this october for free.

Hood is much heavier than any other car's.

btw it smooth while being driven.as for parts,majority engine part is of Lancer and Hyundai Excel.but it's easily available from proton dealership.even the mud flaps.

Things that suck about SAGA

1)only front two windows are automatic
2)REAR lights are a bag of Duush..Stinky!!

a little good, a little bad. At least this car has been tried and tested in european countries whch cannot be said about geely. I personally like the proton gen2 and at 9-10 lacs it is very competitive. if only ppl did not think about resale in Pakistan and give these other cars a chance.

However, i belive that showrooms should offer finance incentives in Pakistan to make these cars more affordable.

yar to end suzuki's and other's monopoly we'll have to overlook these aspects.i mean the thought of selling the vehicle before even buying it can leave u only with mehran and corolla.both of them are targets of critics.why?...why? a qualitative car cannot make market in our country??
1.becoz old school of thought(baway) think that u'll be surely in loss after buying so called t-of-market car.
2.My mehran and hoda 125 were recently thefted.police did nothing in both cases.now the genuine parts go to local "chor bazaars".they are sold cheap out there.

u seem to like Gen-2 more.but my price range was santro exec GV 6,89.so i thought why not 1.3 with space in the back including gas cyl. in 6,99.Gen-2 has a little chance coz it's 1.3 model exceeds price of Xli corolla.so a evry1 wud prefer Xli excluding me

.engine parts of hyundai excel and lancer are compatible.as far as the company is concerned.proton is not like adam or geely.it will take time to step into the market.u know they have a big setup and 3yr. warranty from rear to front bumper of evry car of their's.moreover they have a contract with CSD now.where would they b going???

yaar this is one of the few cars which i have driven...tell you the truth its MIXED...good and bad...i like the seating position...as im not that tall but still it gave me a comfortable position...the rear slides a bit...good brakes...and i love the rear...coz it looks like a MUSTANG

very powerful engine...

comfortable.. looks pretty good.. doesnt look like a chooza..
