Apparently, X70's supply issues aren't over yet.

"On the topic of parts shortage for the Proton X50 and Proton X70, Proton’s Deputy CEO Roslan Abdullah mentioned that the issue stemmed from the fact that there are some parts that are imported from China. In some provinces where the vendor is located, there are a shortage of electricity as China clams down on coal-fired power plants, however, capacity of renewable energy is not enough to meet the demand.

The energy shortage was partially caused by China's emission-reduction campaign, further aggravated by the winter season. Local governments in China have imposed power cuts and rationing on both industrial and residents. In some cases, Proton had to resort to source from vendors from other provinces."

Initially I didn’t loved the car exterior looks…. But slowly n steadily after seeing it 2,3 time i started loving the looks too…. Or features ke bat ke jai to its bar farr away from all of the competitors!

This vehicle will prove it self to be the silent loin in market!!!! The futuristic interior the design the features makes it bar FAR from its competitors!

Bas ALHAJ group is bar darama na krin…. Which they are doing deliveries are late!

Proton X70's parent model Geely Boyue is expected to get a new generation later this year or early 2023. It will ride on the new CMA platform shared with Volvo XC40 and Geely's own Xingyue (pictured below).

Current 1.8 turbo might be replaced by a 2 liter with substantially more power.
Sadly, the new model will take a couple of years to trickle down to Proton in Malaysia, let alone Pakistan.

Proton X50's donor model Geely Binyue has received an extensive facelift in China. Geely has also dropped the 1.5t 3-cylinder engine (which we have in PKDM X70) and now, Binyue will instead have a 4-cylinder engine with 180hp. The apparent reason behind this is Chinese consumers' poor response to 3-cylinder engines.

Tentative delivery schedule of Feb/ Mar 22 for first batch if CKDs shifted to Apr/ May 22....tareekh pr tareekh...seems proton malaysia is not providing timely logistic support to pakistan which includes relevant machinery, CKD kits.

I agree with you here. Al-Haj is not the sole responsible for this mess. Proton Malaysia is equally responsible. They know the situation very well but doing nothing to solve it.

At this rate, I don't think I can expect delivery before 2023. Saga was launched in October 2021 and hardly any units have made it out of the factory. Our booking number from Momentum motors is in the 300 series...so across Pakistan it should be somewhere between the 500-1000 region. Taking into consideration Al Haj nepotism in deliveries, the expected production rate which will be similar to Saga, deliveries will likely go into mid 2023.
