500,000 price increase is coming for CKD. Again a news floating around at various dealerships . No confirmation. Not sure if Proton Pakistan will stick to its announced pricing of CKD, which they revealed at time of launch back in December 2020. Below are the pricing from launch. These days everyone is selling their pbo of x70.. i am not sure how does it works. I think car remains on the original buyer name and may be there is some contract. Please share if anyone has experience of it.

What's the update on the deliveries? What does your source say?

I visited Proton Defence Motors last week. They told me deliveries of AWD will start from March end and of FWD from early April. On saying that I've heard of these days way too many times, the representative assured me it's happening now since Proton has already delivered some CDK units to government. Along with this, price is also going to be increased by 5-6 lac.

How do X70 enthusiasts compare X70 with Changan Oshan X7?

I know there are a lot of useful options missing from X7 but on the other end, it has many more features in comparison to other CUVs/SUVs being offered in similar price range.

Oshan looks way better than X70 but most importantly they are delivering cars. I've already seen an X7 CKD but X70 exists only in claims and dreams.

What do you make of the decision of cancelling X70 and getting Oshan X7?

Bro same scenario with me...
I booked x70 in dec 20 and still awaiting its delivery.
I test drove x7 for three consecutive days and finally planned to book oshan x7 on full payment tomorrow. However, before booking x7 i gave X70 another chance and test drove x70 today in detail. My obsns are as under:-
- X70 CBU interior build quality is better.
- X7 is more spacious than X70 especially boot space.
- X70 instrument cluster and infotainment sys feels more premium and has more settings.
- X70 has 9 speakers and a woofer and sound quality is very good
- X70 has more front and rear sensors, includes blind spot sys, lane watch alert which are not in X7
- Nappa leather of X70 feels more premium
- Interior and exterior design of X7 is much better.
- Pick of X7 much better
- Gear transition less pronounced in X7
- Suspension in X7 is more soft whereas in X70 it feels on a stiffer side.
- Brakes of X7 more responsive.
- Both vehs have pluses and minuses but the imp pt is that i am getting both vehs by end of Apr (if i book x7 tomorrow) but there is a price difference of Rs 1.0 Mn. I should wait another month if things dont go as per plan i can book X7 anyways.

Thank you for a lot of details. If X7's suspension is softer than X70, then I guess it's going to be way too soft and would create bouncing effect on uneven roads.

Regarding purchase, I'm thinking the same. After waiting for so long, let's wait a couple for weeks and see how things settle before making a decision. BUT I've another concern regarding Alhaj. If they're that slow in producing vehicles, unresponsive in answering calls and emails, what if they wrap up Proton as they did with FAW? How big of a risk it is to go with Alhaj specially after seeing they've learned nothing from their previous venture.

X70 facelifted now selling in china and we are still waiting for the pre faclifted version, which al haj may deliver to most by 2023 i think.
There’s parts shortage issue of x70 even in malaysia and i think al haj should replace it now with any other model if they are getting everything from geely, currently the xingyue L model is top selling in china and if that particular model properly launched here than there will be no competition for that.
Xingyue is priced at 140-180k rmb in china and it’s very very good as far as chinese reviews concerned.

Just heard from some sources that al haj finally increased the prices after maybe they are now ramping up the production hopefully.
56.5 for old bookings and 57.5 for new bookings!
