Wow. So after keeping payments for more than a year, Al-haj increased prices by not just 2,3 lac but directly 8.6 lac. Hamaray sir pe ehsaan kertay huay 1 lac kam kr diye (for early bookings).

I'm not going to pay additional 7.6 lac. Will be cancelling my booking on Monday. Do hell with Proton and Al-haj group.

In future, if they announce to start selling Genesis G80 for 10 lac, I'm dead sure I won't be falling for it. I see the same future for Proton as what happened with FAW.

Even at this time they have not shared when exactly ckds will be available in the showroom and dispatching will start.

On top of increasing price difference b/w the two variants to 3.5 lac as opposed to 3 lacs originally, the total price has been increased by 17% while dollar has only gone up by 13% from when the car was launched.

Al-Haj really knows how to screw over its customers. Their outrage and (m)any cancellations that follow are going to be completely justified.

Cancellation charges will be the next gift. I cannot buy a 1 lac car from them since the day i experienced keeping V2.

They are not cutting cancellation charges for late deliveries. If your tentative delivery month is not passed yet, then yes, they will cut 10%.

I think Alhaj incompetence is directly proportional to proton malaysia as they are the real culprits. Their main focus was to stabilize sales in malaysia and pakistan was of least focus. This is evident from the fact that the manufacturing plant was to be operational in 2019 but it took 3 yrs to do that. If they would have timely provided x70 ckd kits then this would have not been the case.

No they will not cut even if your tentaive delivery month is not passed yet. I booked X70 in November 2021 and cancelled in January while my delivery month was august 2022. Got the complete payment after 45 days.
I cancelled because i know they will not deliver the vehicle even after 1 year. Their own employee suggested me to cancel and buy something else.

I guess you've got your answer now. The x70 was launched on paper.... looked good in the imaginative world...... Now, it will fail and be wrapped up in reality.

Cancellation would follow in upcoming week. They still dont have a timeline for car delivery....
All these explaination notices from Malaysia and proton pakistan were done in a hurry (harbarye hue ha ye isi liay jaldi ma price bhi nikal di k protest sy pehly kuch tou keh sakain logo ko) and in response to court summon+ to cool down customers planning protests, customer have become vocal now
case in consumer court from one of thier customer...Many would follow that gentlemen's footstep now.

Waisay not that I trust him, but a showroom employee told me two weeks back that the CKD X70 will be displayed in the first week of April.

I was told the same by Proton Defence. When I called Momentum motors last week, they said the unit will be available "next week".

Al Haj are seriously taking the piss now. Some people have received revised delivery dates, someone who booked in Mar 2021 has been given Sep 2022. I have Feb booking so that means no hope before August. Still waiting on Tiggo 8 Pro, if the price is close to 6/6.2 it would be well worth switching to. Keep in mind that X70 may get further price increases before actual delivery.

I have watched all the reviews for Tiggo 8 on YouTube so far and it honestly seems like a beautiful vehicle inside out, and a genuine 7 seater in the Sorento segment. It is also modern and latest generation tech, whereas X70 is already 5 years old and has gone a face-lift internationally.

Have you booked Feb this year or last year? Tiggo 8 Pro is exciting but it all comes down to the price point which the Chinese are currently not in the mood of pricing it sensibly. I've seen someone mention that it will be close to 6.7-6.8M, launch event is tomorrow according to Pakwheels.

Feb 2021. With respect to Tiggo 8, the way I see it is that X70 is already 5.7m, with no delivery prospect in sight and may well be 6 or more by the time we finally get it. If Chery are promising early deliveries, such as May/June, then even a 5 lakh difference (priced at 6.5m) would be worth it considering that it's a larger vehicle with 7 seats, bigger engine and latest generation model.
