PSCA adds more banks to the receipt of the e-challan payments

In order to add convenience and easy accessibility for the motorists, Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has added three more banks HBL, MCB, and UBL to its receipts of e-challan payments.

E-challan system in Punjab is working efficiently to ensure everyone abides by the traffic rules. The motorists have also developed a much better sense of following the rules as the cameras are keeping an eye on every vehicle on the road, anyway. Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), on the other hand, has widened its network of e-challan payment gateways. Initially, only cash counters of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) were used for the payment of e-challan receipts. Later on, the authority signed an agreement with the Bank of Punjab (BOP) which made it convenient for the citizens to submit the e-challan receipts to their nearby branch of the above-mentioned banks. In its another move to further simplify the submission of fines, PSCA has added HBL, MCB, and UBL to its panel. Note here that the citizens can go to any branch of these banks to submit their e-challan.

The spokesman of Punjab Safe Cities Authority told that adding more banks would allow a smooth flow of the process. In addition to the e-challan payment facility at any branch of these banks, the citizens will also get the facility of paying their respective fine amount via Android application and ATM transfer. The new receipts of e-challan have added HBL, MCB, and UBL to its list as well. All the motorists can check the status of their e-challan accounts by entering their CNIC and vehicle registration number on the web portal echallan.psca.gop.pk.

The most common type of violation observed in this particular e-challan fine system has been crossing the signal on the red light by a majority of motorbike riders. Although the roads in cities like Lahore doesn’t allow you to speed up too much due to ever-increasing traffic congestion but violating the speed-limits has also been observed very commonly. Just a reminder that the allowed speed-limit inside the city is 60 km/h for LTV and 40 km/h for HTV except for Canal road where the light traffic may speed up to 70 km/h. In comparison to previous times, e-challan has certainly made an impact in terms of forcing the citizens to follow traffic rules else pay a fine every time they violate the rules.

Punjab Safe Cities Authority is just a scam to ,l would say is is highway robbery. If Punjab Safe Cities Authority really wanted Safe Cities then first thing they should is to cancel all existing driving licences and every single person to retake a driving test by independent examiner who himself should know the traffic rules and road signs to get the licence back.If this independent examiner accepts bribe or sifarash he should be sacked and jailed as he is giving a licence for vehicle which can be lethal weapon in the wrong hands.Anyone driving without valid driving licence should jailed.

Secondly if anyone is breaking the traffic laws after they have re-taken the driving test and acquired a driving licence, minimum fine should be 5000 for motor bikes and 25000 for cars ,50000 for wagons and 100000 for buses and trucks. These fines should be vigorously enforced on the spot, l guarantee that traffic behaviour of drivers and riders will change for the better.Anyone who does not immediately pay the fine their vehicle should immediately impounded and driver banned for 1 year.

Thirdly Punjab Safe Cities Authority should monitor and check every vehicle is ready worthy to drive or ride safely on the roads. Brakes, steering,tyres and suspension systems should be checked as too many accidents are caused to due brakes,steering and suspension system failures and burst tyres.

Fourthly the electrical system of the vehicles should be checked to make sure all lights are working and any driver not using the indicators or using high beam light without consideration for other drivers should face the same fines which l have suggested.

Only by doing what l have suggested will bring change in the behaviour of drivers and riders on Pakistani roads if Punjab Safe Cities Authority are really serious about making our cities safe for all the citizens of Pakistan.

As of now Punjab Safe Cities Authority are only not really interested in making cities safe apart scamming motorists by just concentrating on speeding motorists.combating speeding should be part of the solution not just all of it.

Speeding is highly dangerous but this has to according to road conditions such as very high traffic,bad weather and so.Speeding is dangerous but is bad un-trained drivers who kill. Punjab Safe Cities Authority should implement what l have suggested
