they have finished the 2MB package...

the new packages available are:

1. 1Mbps at Rs 1199
2. 4Mbps at Rs 1999
3. 6Mbps at Rs 4999
4. 8Mbps at Rs 6999

The existing 2Mbps package will no more exist and all existing 2Mbps customers have already been upgraded to 4Mbps package on the same tariff.

actually the thing is that they are doing so to get more customers for higher bandwidth connections. Coz 80% of the 1mb customers are on student package which already is on a discounted price.

both existing and new customers can get this package. i have the 1mb package and thinking of upgrading to the 4mb one.

though it would have been nice if they had ended the 1mb package instead of 2mb and upgraded all 1mb subscribers to 2mb....

i think 4mbps for rs2000 is great value for subscribers...everyone can get it now.

True, what I believe they actually want to end student packages and to do that they are offering 4 times more bandwidth with twice the price. The offer is potentially very attractive, even I am thinking to move over to 4 mb. I am on student package.

em on student package 1mb
i applied for this 4mb package
i was told that 1st ur package will be shifted to normal package
then after 24hr u'll have to apply for 2mb package,which will take 7working days as a new connection takes
n then i'll be on 2mb package not 4mb package
n then on 1st august,i'll b upgraded to 4mb package
though i applied but will have to wait 16more days for my 4mb package,which i was expecting to get it in 24-48hr which was the time period told to me when i asked for the info before applying....

i knew about the student package conversion thing and the time delay. didnt know that you have to first move to 2mb, and than eventually 4mb..long wait sir!

will the same modem be used for the new connection as well?
