Salam to all,

I need help regarding evo wingle 9.3mbps. I am thinking of upgrading to PTCL Evo Wingle 9.3mbps. But before that, I want some questions answered. First of all how is the coverage and signals in different areas and when moving like in a car.. Secondly what about downloading, streaming and browsing speed?? And can we connect more than 5 devices with it.. Opinions and suggestions are welcomed....Anyone who is using it, or has used it, or simply know about it please help..and is it worth the price??(The new price)

My experience of it remained very bad. Connectivity is very poor in main Lahore city areas like Gulberg main market, Thokar Niaz Baig area. You can well imagine how it will work during move or smaller cities. No after sale service is provided. They have one answer of all the issues that there is some problem with tower in the area. The issue would be resolved during next week.

Bought one today..well first of all,9.3 mbps is a pure trap..the maximum m getting is 2-3 mbps in my area..download speed in a torrent is 100-150kbps (healthy torrents with enuff seeds).havnt tried it on roads yet.

700 kbps in karachi in mazar e quaid and in lahore it's very slow 3 mb on 9mb connection and 1 mb on 3.2 mb connection 9mb costs 3000 per month and 3.2 mb cost 1500 per month Max devices are 5 but tenda wifi device will do the job

I have a wingle in Lahore, my office is near comsats (its out of city) and it works here like anything (5mbps) and my home in wapda town and here even with 600 rs antenna it work only 0.5 mbps. so better to check where you intend to use it, check and try and then buy.

I got mine for DHA Phase - I Isb, unexpectedly worked really well. I'm a DOTA2 player and it downloads it from Steam at 1mbps. 3GB download in 3 hrs. But it has its off-days too, over all the connection is stable but speeds can be very unreliable.

I don't suggest going for EVO as they have placed a 50-75 GB cap. If passed, your connection will be only giving 256Kbps speed for browsing. Not recommended for downloading nor streaming, people usually buy it for office/school works now because most offices don't offer internet connection. I can't believe why PTCL did this foolish decision, and it would kill the sales of EVO.

This is the only faster wireless broadband service. Maybe they added 75GB cap to prevent people to download pirated stuff.

I still have plans to go for PTCL EVO as a back-up service if my main broadband is not working properly. But when i heard about this, i'm not even thinking of going for the EVO broadband. My major use of EVO will be browsing facebook and watching youtube vids on-the-go, only travelling from one city to other. Not for downloading. My home is located close to PTCL Office, which is located in Girja Chowk.

1mbps = 1000Kbps
9.3MB= 9300 kbps

9300 /8= 1162.5 This is the max speed you can get. A little over 1 Mbps. You'll get this speed if your area is covered by ptcl if not then it switches to CDMA and you'll get 3.1Mbps.

On CDMA you won't get 3.1 mbps but only 3100/8=387.5 kbps as per your own formula.

i Bought one few days back with Eid Special offer 1250 per month for life time unlimited (75gb).....But speed is bakwas i get download speed at torrent about max 30kb....... I live in Multan . But i,ve checked it in other places like Multan Cantt , There speed was great.... Speed depends on area and Tower ....

Can antenna be connected to the device? If yes then i think it will solve your problem

Yeah Antena can be connect to Wingle.. I bought one for 1k with pin..... But i never installed it beacuse i don,t have a bamboo
