PTCL Landline on Fibre

Assalam O Alaikum

It's been quite sometime that I created a thread, here's one looking for some help.

I want to know whether the line on fibre is better or on normal copper wire? I have my wire on traditional copper wire (or whatever material they're using) my lineman asked me to convert it to fibre so that there will be no issues with pair and SNR etc. He's 1,000 rupees for this job.

I don't know what he has done to my line that I'm having this sync/unsync issue with DSL. I was downloading some material when these timeout errors got my at attention.

Now what should I do?

A friend in Karachi did the same, i.e. got his line changed from copper to fiber and now he keeps shouting about low DSL speed and disconnections. He regrets his decision, can't switch back to copper for some unknown reasons.

my advice to you is to do everything officially rather then going through only lineman. There is too much technology involved which cannot be handled by a lineman.

Don't the fiber optic lines stop working when the light goes off? t.e. when there's no electricity.

workin fine at my end..
they do have a backup of 2hours..
my internet works for 2hours n sum minutes with no electricity
after that dead..
no line tone..
