I need review about PTCL Smart TV? Anyone using it and what's the charges of it?

450 rupees per month fee and 250 rupees per month installment for set top box for an year..
CONS:
It will work only if you have Fibre optic cable in your area.
It wont work if your landline phone is dead or internet is not working.
It can only be used on a single tv set, you cannot split connections.
It will sometimes get stuck if you are using the internet and downloading something heavy.(although the ptcl walas claim that it has seperate 4mb internet for the digital tv but atleast i faced this issue).

It has excellent video and audio quality, ideal to use if you have LED hd tv, excellent results
It has pause forward and rewind features which are very useful
It works on UPS and has 150 channels.
You can buy movies from their library at 25rs./movie and watch in hd quality.

• Most of the movies are pirated, you'll often find some camera prints in there too

you are right about the seperate bandwidth for the smart tv, this was something i was also told by their CSR, but i faced this issue of channel getting stuck while downloading something.
Although this was not quite often but it was annoying everytime it happened.

Go to 192.168.1.1 - default username password is admin / admin

Check the numbers on the top right - the number above is your reserved download limit and the number below is your reserved upload limit

The download limit (above) should be at least 2000 (KB) over your internet speed.

So if you're subscribed to a 4MB plnb, the the number above should be 6000+

If it is less than that, contact them and let them know you're not getting the full available bandwidth you're paying for.

I had this issue in the beginning with my upload limit, so I had them fix it.

Ok. Can we split connection on Dish TV? I have Dish TV connection so can i use it on another tv set?
