Pulley/alternator bearings price check

Could anyone tell me the cost of OEM specs bearings for Honda Civic 2013? I need bearings for alternator, idler pulley, and tensioner.

Asked a mechanic and he quoted me 11.5k for this, which seems unreasonably high. I've already ordered NSK Japan alternator bearing kit for only 2.6k, so I'm not sure why 3 bearings would cost that much.

Can anyone help?

Also, it'd be great if we can have a main price check thread on Pakwheels. Mechanics are looting people left right and center and it's really hard to keep up with price changes to know what's a fair market rate these days. A main price check thread where people can leave a price inquiry and others who know about it can answer would be massively beneficial for us all.

extremely rapid fluctuating market makes it impossible to have a price check

for bearings, find out the bearing number, and ask the bearing suppliers directly with the bearing number only. dont mention car or engine or whatever

Thank you my friend. This is valuable info. Unfortunately, I'm a noob and I'm only going by what the mechanics have told me.

• First mechanic said alternator bearings are the problem but we'll know exact number waghera after disassembly.
• Second mechanic (apparently a pretty big workshop that charge premium prices and use modern tools) said the tensioner, pulley, and alternator bearings are bad and they too will have to send it to some generator guy after disassembly.
• Third one said no one can tell you the part number by model, you'll have to take it apart to find out.

The only thing consistent between all the mechanics I've seen is that some bearing is going bad. But none of them gives me more detail because it's apparently all subject to disassembling the parts and discovering what needs to be changed

So I don't have any info about exact bearing/part number to be able to source these things myself.

in karachi, theres quite a large bearing market near rimpa plaza

if you have a long handled screw driver, you can isolate which bearing is noisy...
or something like this

you put your ear to the handle and touch each bearing area when engine is running with the probe. where you hear sounds louder, thats the bearing thats failing

use the honda parts now website to find out the exact part numbers. there are some variations to your specific model so you will need to hunt around
