Punjab to get CNG 7 days a week during specified time

Time to say goodbye to CNG. My CNG kit is up for sale here:

Have you all people ever thought why govt is doing this to CNG sector? It's true that gas reserves are deteriorating and if unchecked, one day we'll fall short of gas. But there is one point on the other side too. CNG is our own asset while petrol is imported and takes millions of dollars of our foreign reserves. If CNG is being used in vehicles, it's still not a loss as compared to petrol usage in our vehicles. As long as gas is there, why discourage it, why not save our foreign reserves in petrol and use it to explore gas reserves or other alternative cheaper fuels? isn't it the petrol mafia behind all this process?

Ok please convince others to shift to petrol takay cng pumps per rush kum ho jaye. lolz. kidding. Waise you can wait till the cng problem resolves.

I don't think cng problems will ever be solved. Summers ka ye haal hai, winter men wese hi band hoti hai.

Well. I'm not against CNG usage at all. But it makes cost benefit only for guys with high monthly mileage.

In my case, it only runs 400~500Km per month. And all the hassle for CNG isn't worth it for me (And more so, if CNG rate is revised upward to Rs. 100/Kg in near future)

i am also inclined towards getting rid of cng but first i need to reconsider options... How do you plan to run your car on petrol?

e.g in my case, the car hardly gives 8km/l in city without AC (14-15 on cng) So if I remove cng and get it tuned for petrol, how much mileage will it give.
how do you plan to manage on petrol?

Mine is doing 9~10 kpl in city at the moment, and the EFI wiring is still not fiexed, and O2 sensor not checked. Once i sort out these, it is expected to give 12kpl at least.

For me:

CNG per KM = 75/16 = Rs. 4.7
Petrol per KM = 108/12 = Rs. 9
Additional on petrol = (9-4.7)*500Km = Rs. 2100

This additional Rs. 2100 is in the ideal case that the car runs solely on CNG, which isn't the case at all. Actual impact is only Rs. 1200~1500

Now what will it save:
1. Min 4 trips to CNG station (12Km round trip each)
2. 8 hours passed in CNG line on those trips
3. Mental tension
4. CNG maintenance
5. Boot space (Though my Nissan still has plenty of boot space)
6. Engine early death

Infact i am thinking to spend the money (which i will get from selling cng kit) to tune up the car on its top condition. I have a landirenzo efi kit (civic 2005 and 60 lit cng tank), how much do you think should I ask?

Yup. Majority of time on petrol, occasional CNG usage, but never comfortable with it. So finally decided to let it go.

If its still low, then I might have to consider selling the car and get some other economical car... these are some scenarios that apply for me, how do you plan to manage on petrol?

hahaha i thought about using the car on petrol long ago but thats simply not possible with the kind of average this car gives
selling the car n then again buying a mint condition one is also a headache

perhaps with proper tuning (without cng) i can get some 11-12km/l

with a manual car u should get that much average even with cylinder installed in car
there is no petrol tuning, u just need to clean throttle body, clean spark plugs, air filter n remove the air blockage

with CNG wiring, the timing is advanced and some other stuff is changed too. Which certainly affects petrol consumption and power...
Yes keeping the kit and using factory wiring for petrol is an option but whats the use of the giant empty cylinder on your back

my car has air blockage, n whenever i asked the mechaic to remove it, they said cng ki pick ni rahe gi etc etc
that empty cylinder will boost resale value of car

haha well yes i am still bit confused... blockage is not really needed, the kit makers have given us the idle adjust screw so mechanics instead of adjusting the amount of gas, try to adjust the air.

and don't waste your time at night,because i think almost all the pumps right now have converted to day time and if you think that g.t road/kahuta road are open 24hours for 3 days then you are wrong aswell since i live in this area and they are all operating at new timings including moon cng and caltax in front of sihala police station
