I am planning to sell my car but I heard that now the number plate will remain under my ownership when i sell the car. That would mean i will have to take off the number plates before handing over my car to the new owner? And how are we going to notify excise about this? Is there any online portal or something for that? Otherwise the buyer might keep on using the number till they actually go to transfer the car.
