Purchase advice regarding Honda CRZ

Hello Pakwheelers,

I have been using santro club as my daily driver for long time now. I am very very interested in Homda CRZ. Although i have basic to moderate knowledge of cars I am still very interested in Honda CRZ. Its just that I do not find any other car as attractive as CRZ.

I am a single guy. Daily drive is almost 25kms only. 2 seater is enough for me.

Please advise as to what real life problems i am facing making purchase of crz a No No.

Will it be easy to get oil, oil filter, air filter, ac filter replacements.
What can I expect maintenance wise. Any problems i am not aware of that may arise and render the repair: use of car a hurdle for use.
What other parts there are that meeds to be changed constantly and i might find it difficult to procure them.
Is the car easy to work on or I would have to struggle finding a mechanic familiar with the car.

I do not need speed and those performance kits etc. i am a normal driver and i love cars in their stock configuration. Except rims and good sound system etc.

Will i be able to get 14-15kms in city traffic if i buy automatic version.

I drive in gulberg and go home via eagle chowk entrance of dha.

Please expert opinions

I can not comment specifically about CR-Z, but I used Civic Hybrid based on IMA hybrid technology. The CR-Z is equipped with the same.

Fuel Average:
The IMA Hybrid does not support EV drive. The engine is ON all the time, and Auto Stops on signals. The average ranges from 13-15 KM/H with AC. Don't expect astonishing average figures, as IMA is a mild hybrid.

Power:
The CR-Z is 1.5 Liter, and the battery assist engine in acceleration. I think you won't get disappointed in terms of power.

Reliability:
Reliability is a concern for old honda hybrids. The battery cells of IMA are prone to failure. My car battery was dead after 80,000 KM. In case of battery failure, battery replacement is the solution, but it is costly.

Suggestions:
I prefer some old, well-maintained Toyota Aqua over Honda CR-Z, but it is subjective.
