Putting Engine oil in fuel tank helps

I've read in forums here and heard by mechanics that putting little amount of engine oil in fuel tank helps, but i'd like to ask help in what ? i have vitz and i've read in forums of vitz/corollas to put oil in fuel tank helps in misfiring and all..

please help me understand the Logic behind it and the rational explanation will be highly appreciated.

not to forget the famous 2 stroke suzuki van in early 80's.

yea it sure helps once i was on my 2 stroke trail bike in 1984 and mobileoil in fuel tank finished, and i ended up loading it on suzuki pickup cause of piston burn.

This recommendation is applicable only on those vehicle which are running on CNG,at the time of tuning some mechanic put a little bit oil through carburetor or air intake system to lubricate the valve for proper functioning or to remove dryness.

they use for cleaning the engine ...but a very lil amount and u see a huge amount of white smoke from the exhaust

but adding to fuel tank..will for sure end up engine going boom

the purpose of rings in engines is to make sure oil and fuel don't mix.so i dont think so mixing them will do any good

try anti knocking additives in your fuel tank to prevent knocking,

I am not sure why Sohrab bikes flopped...but it was
so good to have it...i used to go from Risalpur to
Peshawar on it during Student Days...never gave me
Problem....

and then in those days i dont have any knowledge of
engines...so put mobil oil in fuel tank...not much but
it was enough to make the bike have kali khansi
