this is a reason why i wanted an end of this Argument.

just confirm this if you can , from the rule-makers.

is this rule here to prevent fights ?
or it is here to eradicate Islam out of our lives.

i provide an an APOLOGY , and take back my words regarding the KAFIR comment of mine . so if any one is offended please dont bother to extend it as i have already taken back my words with apology.

this is a complain thread , and i guess we can be open about our objections to certain rules that are often OVER-EXERCISE and abused .

Narrating a Hadith can not ignite a fight brother, but the way we narrate it or we perceive it can. We sometimes take things too emotionally and we do not understand the purpose. We might do it unintentionally but this happens. For instance, there was a thread by a boy who unintentionally mentioned pathans in his thread however I can understand he didn't mean anything bad but he was just a kid and didn't know the aftermaths and it ended in a debate. Similarly, one can quote a Hadith for good, but the readers can take it to some other direction and then they write their hatred in words and mention words like "hindus" which would obviously offend other members here. We know what our religion is about and what it teaches and it never permits us to say bad about any religion. We can do tableekh that is something positive. But just pin pointing shouldn't be there. If there are some standards for the forum, we should respect them. It doesn't mean anyone is suppressing Islam.
And after all, there is a difference between Facebook and Pakwheels.

well , my bro. actually this is why we have " human MODS " to moderate.
so they can use their common-sense , judge situations , and react respectively,
if we look for an alternative , BOTS can do this job easily , and equally blatantly , and blindly as some MODS do .
just put the word ISLAM , Muhammad , hadith , quran in your filters , and no relegious comment would be added automatically.

it depends upon situations , and requires pure logic and common sense what religious comment may be offensive.

The fact of the matter is, religious posts made by anyone of any religion spark heated debates VERY quickly and this shouldn't come as a surprise because everyone values their religious beliefs very strongly.

There are numerous forums online to cater to religious discussion, which this forum is NOT.

When you make an ID on this forum you check the box saying that you will abide by all the rules of this website, and the rule is pretty darn clear:

3: Member contributed content, including comments and videos, should not contain any political or religious subject matter.

I don't see this rule ever being changed and for the better.

I repeat, religious discussion is not allowed not because it is offensive but because it sparks fights.

There should be a rep (reputation) system. It would enable users to identify which is the most credible poster here. It is very important because on numerous topics, ignorant replies of many take precedence over a single reply of a learned member which leads to false information for the audience.

It is a simple mod/addon for vB but additional resource may be needed to ensure fair usage and stop misuse (e.g. neg repping)

please review what you have just said ,

its the same thing you are putting on opposite sides in your statement.

obviously something offensive always sparks fights,
( at-least 99% of the time)

a post being offensive
or a post sparking fights is the same thing indeed.

i dont challenge the rule.

but i do challenge its abuse. A MOD should follow the LOGIC and REASON behind this rule , which you have just admitted your self ,is that , it sparks fights.

so if a post is not sparking fights.
or has no potential to turn into a HEAT debate.

it should not be deleted.

this is the reason this rule exists , ( according to you) and thus this is the reason which should be taken into consideration before taking an action.

i was just giving a example , a demonstration in this "COMPLAIN CELL" where we come with our hue and cries , to show what we did and how we got treated.

I personally know many mullah's in Hostel k jab koi apne room me apne computer pe songs lagata.... wo foran Woofers pe full awaz mei Tilawat ya Naat laga k shor macha dete k songs band kro.... If you go through the thread It has already been discussed wither religious content should be allowed or not. and discussing it again is not a wise this to do.

An important thing to keep in mind: Implementing rules, once decided by Admin, is NOT a democracy.
