If you go through the thread It has already been discussed wither religious content should be allowed or not. and discussing it again is not a wise this to do.
You are just stuck with your point of view and other the other HAND 30 people are against it so now your debate is flawed

i m just stating , that this rule SHOULD be implemented , but NOT ABUSED.

the reason this rule is here to prevent fights , and this is the reason MODS should consider before deleting any post.

Brother, I think you are the one abusing the rule by narrowing its scope to the unwanted and undefined level. If you think that all these things i.e. Allah maaf karay, MashAllah, Allah naseeb karay also cover the Pakwheels Rule Number 3 because thats what the "logic" says then I think you should really reconsider you statement of people being "BOTS". Common sense might not be common in humans but still its there. There is no chance you can find it in robots.

App MashAllah samajhdaar hain. Sirf thori si nazar ghumaain aur daekhain yeh baat kahan ja rahi hai. What MODS say is right. It may ignite a fight. Because as I said, it's not the topic thats offensive its the people who make it one.

O' please! No one is asking to have discussion forums on religion in PW! All we need is if someone is sharing a good religious information or hadith.. it should not be deleted. Why being afraid that forum is also viewed by some members abroad who are non-muslims that not even contribute 1% of total members!

I remember, once a member was only saying to some other member that some time should be spared to offer prayers... and immediately a mod jumped in to warn him saying; please refrain from religious stuff! What is this bhai! What is wrong in that if someone is telling something good to a fellow member!

If it is only and only for cars then what are the 100s of threads like namak mirchi club, official photography, Movies, Shair-o-Shairi, Best Eating Places, Sports threads... bla & bla & bla bla... doing here!
We have space for everything else, but if someone quotes any hadith or any religious info.. it is not acceptable to more than 90% muslim members of the site.

Please contact Admin to revoke Rule #3.

Until that happens, Mods are required to implement the rule. Picking a fight with Mods is quite unnecessary, as they do not make the rules.

And like I said before, implementing rules is NOT A DEMOCRACY, so polls don't matter.

Mods are not defending anything, they are given a duty to perform on a volunteer basis: to implement the rules and policy set by Admin. That is all.

There is a time and place for everything.

PW is NOT the place to be posting ANY religious content such as Hadith, Ayat or religious advice.

If someone insists on posting such stuff knowing it is against the rules of PW and will be deleted, then THAT person is at fault, not the Mod who is doing his/her duty in following rules laid down by Admin.

That is NOT correct. For example, there are limits on 16+ material, as well as restrictions on political posts.

Your disappointment aside, I do respect your point of view, different as it may be. However, unless changed by Admin, Mods have to follow the rules.

just putting my last two cents , about the proposed alteration in rule number 3.

rule 3#

Any political or religious post , that has the potential to offend other political parties , religious sect or other religions , or has the potential to extend itself into a political or religious debate , IS NOT ALLOWED.
and shall be deleted by the MODS without further notice . Repeated acts will be dealt with sanctions.

IF any member posts A religious/political comment that triggers a political/religious debate , would receive sanctions , and any members that involve themselves into a political / religious debate shall receive sanctions as well.

This is how at least i think this rule should be , rest its up-to you people.

at least we can share some knowledge this way , without being labeled religious extremists , and the opposers as secular extremists.

key point-

try to eradicate the fights , don't try to eradicate some ones belief , may it be any one, from any religion at all.

Yes, I'm referring to your post.

Let me use an analogy here to relate to what you're saying. What you are saying is that if a traffic signal shows red, you may proceed and disregard it if there are no cars coming up. And that it should only be considered a violation of the rule if a car comes and hit you after you've ignored the red light. But that isn't the rule, is it? The rule is that you stop at a red light, car or no car.

Rules are there for the benefit of everyone. Here, they are in place so that the purpose of the healthy, informative forums (the road from our earlier example) can be fulfilled and kept clear of problems such as religious and political debates (the accidents on the road).

As it is members have a big problem with the controls moderators enforce, how would you expect moderators to monitor and judge where a religious discussion will turn into an argument? And given the sensitive nature of these discussions, it takes literally seconds and it almost always happens.

I hope you can appreciate the reasoning and we can now stop beating about the bush and accept these rules. I've seen a ton of sites dedicated to religious and political discussions, you are most welcome to take those over there.

i really did not wanted to debate after my last post , but pardon me and consider it as my last input as well.

all i can say is , that I and YOU can trigger a religious debate even NOW, and the mods would still have to do their duty , the rule is right there , but it cannot actually STOP any one automatically.
signals are there and accidents still happen.

all i have done is that i have "extended the rule" and infact made it more STRICT. for religious/political debaters , on the other hand , RULE# 3 wouldn't be ABUSED any MOD , as this time , the MODS know actually what posts to delete.

even now the MODS ambulance comes after accident has taken place , despite of the all time RED signal.

This rule is RIGHT , it just needs an elaboration , so it doesn't gets abused.

and that is all i did.

and yes onec again i say , i do not challenge the rule but its ABUSE, and to stop the ABUSE we need to elaborate it , be specific , with logic and reason behind this rule.
