Any good doctor for ear related issues? My little bro has developed some hissing sound in his one ear since past one week.few days Earlier he had some throat problem. He was given clarithromycin for throat problem after a day or so he got this hissing sound and very reduced listening ability in his ear. These were given by a doctor in pims islamabad
Then we went to another in kulsom hospital and he gave 4 medicine.
Xyonosine nasal spray/drops.
Claricid
Deltacotril
Faxit
A after reaching home and after some discussion I found that he initially had throat problem and later after one a day or two he also had earache with hissing sounds and reduced hearing and he also says that when he talks he can hear it from inside his own rather there from outside through his ears..
I checked online for side affects of medicines that were given to him initially by pims. In my search clarithromycin seems to have tinnitus side affect.
But strange thing is this ent specialist in kulsom hospital also prescribed clarithromycin..
I other day called him he said it's doesn't causes tinnitus. And it's due to throat infection and he should continue these meds.
Now bros throat problem is almost gone. Please advise.
