I just can't be this confident about old cars. I'm popping the hood every week to check fluid levels (especially coolant) and a general look around to see if everything is in order.

find a good workshop that understands how to work properly - then you wont have to perform engine room ziaratt everyday.

e.g. cooling system needs to be pressure tested at 16 psi for a usual japanese car, or upto 28 psi for a newer model german car. A literal handful mechanics understand this and own/make such testers. The rest rely on "moo ka pressure" and consider the expansion tank as a useless decorative item.

That stems from OCD rather than a problem with the engine - nothing can fix that.

Your brake hydraulics can let go.

Or

You can walk outside your home, slip on some water crack your noggin and bleed to death too.

Perfect. I forgot to mention 'manual'. Can't help browsing PW ads for a manual Ribaarn every now and then myself but Karachi cars are really beat up mostly.

Yup OCD as far as tire air pressure is concerned, notwithstanding the fact that god knows how accurate those machines at local tire walas are. One of my bigger concerns during the lockdown is cars being garaged and slowly losing air pressure.

Definitely other OCDs too, which have come to the fore with COVID-19.
