Queries about performance of off-road tyre on asphalt

I bought this TVS Jumbo poly X, 100/90-18 tyre from McLeod road for 5000, as a replacement for my GS-150's stock rear. The other two alternatives in the shop were MRF and another TVS, both with less tread groves. I opted for this as I intend to go to different northern locations in this summer, and thought that this tread would be helpful in any odd road conditions.

Now that I have seen other tread patterns on TVS and MRF sites, I am wondering if this was a bad choice, as its main use will be on asphalt and I wouldn't be happy if it provided less grip than I am expecting, or a lot more noise.

I have till tonight to get it replaced with either of the other two, which were cheaper than this. I need some experienced advice so I can clear my doubts or get it changed before I return home tomorrow. Thank

Off-road tires used in mud or dirt feature individual knob patterns to allow the tire to bite into the surface and lever the sides of the tread to get a better grip. Given the smaller contact patch, these tires tend to wear quickly when used on asphalt. (wikipedia)

The tread on this tire seems fine to me for use on asphalt baki aap ki marzi

I think the grip should be good. It looks very grippy

You have made a good decision.
I had the opportunity to test ride a friend's gs150 which had this trekker tyre installed. This tyre has excellent road grip, is very good around corners and provides excellent braking.
Being a locally manufactured tyre, it is priced reasonably as well
This is what I concluded after trying it out. Will InshaAllaah get the same one when my stock tyre completes its life
