Question about Honda City steering wheel cover stitching

I have seen leather steering wheel covers online which u need to stitch. I am just wondering if these covers are easy to stitch properly ourselves? Should i get it online fro my honda city and do it myself, or is it better to go to market to get it stitched from them ?

just go to market, every accessories shop have it, get it stitched from them, just make sure they don' t leave gap in stitching, else it will look bad and get loose over time.

If you want the perfect finish then take your tools with you.
Over there Remove the horn cover and the small plates (which house the steering wheel controls and cruise control )(not our local ones of course).
Then tell him to stretch the cover properly and then stitch it and the put the parts back on.

You will get the perfect finish

Look here at the pic of the honda city the leather cover is properly behind the silver part

And over here in this corolla its not properly behind the plastic piece which houses the steering wheel control so the cover is more open and doesn't look that tidy and neat

The first pic looks like from some ad.... while the second one is real. I dont think the cover could fit that perfect in real as in the first pic. or may be im wrong.... (i wish im wrong )
If some one having a city with steering wheel cover fitted on could post the pic plz......

thanks for the heads up bro.... but how do i remove the horn cover? Do i just pull it off? Its a brand new car... so im a bit conscious

As long as you open the horn cover and remove those silver pieces you can get this type of good finish from any local mistri (i guess or i dont know what people are called that do poshish/seat covers)

Try to learn these little things yourself as the mistri/mechanic dont give a shit about your new car so they will rip everything open
I own a corolla so its process is a little different.
Couldn't find a video for our local one but this one should be the same as its the same steering wheel
Dont worry if dont find the yellow connector in the start of the video as that is of the airbag and our cars dont come with one
and dont worry about the screws on the side too as our local ones may have a different thread than this so i guess you Plus wala screw driver may work you can just look and the side of the steering wheel inside the hole as in the video and see which screws it has

Friendly advice Learn small small things about your car as time passes it will really help you.
Not to brag but
I am 21 right now and i know how to do a brake service, change brake pads, how to do a brake fluid flush, how to change oil, how to remove steering wheel, how to change headlight bulbs (all bulbs interior+Parking+Indicator+Reverse+Fog), i know how change my cars lcd, remove the lcd, remove all dashboard paneling, removing all door trims, change AC filter, Change Air FIlter

Toyota workshops are still reasonable with their rate but Honda will snatch your wallet. Honda showrooms are hell expensive for services and parts. And then comes your local mechanics jo aik purza theak karain gay and 2 aur cheezain kharab so i personally stay away from them.

For example Toyota showrooms used to charge me i think 400 rupees for servicing (just clean with compressed air) the AC and air filter. Learned that myself, now i save 400 rupees , time (it take max 10 mins to do it yourself), my filters never get clogged up or blocked, since i clean them regularly they need replacing less often (they cost 1400 approx Air filter and 1900 approx AC filter)

For Corolla, if the cover is behind the steering controls and horn plate, it causes some issues like you have to push hard the horn plate.

I have driven covered steering for a decade. Never knew the reason why people put them at first place . Every car that we ever bought had the cover on steering or driver would get one installed. When I bought my own car, I didn’t get the steering cover. Let me tell you, it’s a breeze to hold the steering. Finger groves on steering give you a perfect fit and grip which is not the case in case of cover.
By the time , the cover will collect too much dust, debris and dirt.
I would suggest , stay away from the cover.
