Question: Planing Trip to Kundol Lake Swat - Is this doable in Eid Holidays

I am planing a trek to Kundol Lake on Eid Holidays and was wondering if this lake trek would be open around the Eid holidays. I have searched myself and could not find first hand RECENT information about the trek.

What is the total trekking time till lake ?

I want to know if the jeep trek till Laddu Village is reconstructed now (I believe it was ruined in 2013 floods).....

Availability of porters around eid holidays ?

Yes this trek is always open in all season

i went there last year it took 3 hours to reach and when we came from there it took 2.5 hour, it was my first trek thats why it took so much time other wise my guide said if u were a good trekker it only took 1.5 hour to reach.

Yes Jeep track is not that good but jeep can go easily through this village i saw jeeps before the trek start.

Availability of porters around eid holidays ?

Don't know about this I think you will get some guide and porters just roam around over there ask local people they will help u as what I did.

well trek wud be surely open....... jeep track to laddu is not constructed.. so its a full day trek to the lake.. i went there in 2012........ u just need a guide and u can find them at gattal bridge and or utror bazaar......

Sorry for late reply was busy in family and Late Eid Mubarak u2 well yaara number to nahi hai magar Utror side pe se app ko mil jaye ga ya Kalaam mein kise se puchen ge to koi na koi guide delwa dega ya pata bata dega.

G bilkul ja sakte hain magar road condition itne khaas nahi hai bare dehan se chala kar jana parega mein probax hire ki teh Kalam se os pe gaya tah !

understandable Eid days are very busy. I went to Swat but could not reach Kalam, it took us around 22 hours to reach Bahrain and then road till Kalam was jam packed. We decided to abort our plan this time and went for Jargoa Waterfall near Matta, Swat. It was not as adventurous as Kundol lake could have been but given the circumstances a reasonable place. Moral of the story is never go for Kalam during Eid holidays......Swat is worth it, people are very hospitable and kind but traffic is horrific during the holidays season.

Bro thats why I never like to go in season or Eid holidays because of to much crowd and traffic jam but never mind we have to learn from our mistakes so next time we don't repeat the same mistake
