Hello everyone. Im not sure how this happened, but all of a sudden my cars ac wasn’t working properly. I took the car out and while I was on my way, the temperature guage started going to H. I turned off the ac which wasn’t working fine. I switched off the car, and then turned it back on after 5-10 mins. Anyways, the heat gauge went all the way to H and then engine check light came and the needle went all the way to Cold.
I took the car to the nearest petrol pump and made sure that I could water the radiator and bring the temp down. Anyways, the petrol pump guy told me that the car radiator was leaking(i think he was lying), the motor came off and the fan is broken.
I wanted to ask what is the cost of the fan and should I get the new motor or get the same one fixed? I would really appreciate. I was told by the mechanic to not use the car at all till the fan is up and running. Can someone pls tell the cost and where should I buy this from?
I think i will need the bracket for fan too since the plastic case is also not having the screws. I dont want something expensive ideally. Idk how this happened all of a sudden. Corolla 2012 gli thanks
