Radiator Fan taking long time to trip

I have purchased WagonR VXL 2015 with 108500 mileage. The car is in perfect condition giving good fuel mileage.
Just today I noticed that the radiator fan takes a bit too long to trip. The radiator is filled with coolant and there's no warning indication for high temperature. Just want to know if it's normal design for WagonR radiator cooling fan to take some time before it trips or do I need to get it checked.

WS, your radiator might be partially choked, or maybe the fan has gone weak overtime.

You might need to remove the radiator and clean the fins of the radiator and the condenser from both sides. Believe me when I removed the radiator in my wagonR at 110000km the fins were completely choked with dust and random debris. All this dust and debris collects between the radiator and the condenser.
Removing the radiator is a very tedious task as you need to remove the bumper, and then drop the radiator from underneath the car. This involves removing lots of clips and some bolts. Do it only if you are fond of DIY projects.

Choking of radiator is a serious issue specially after driving on motorway. I usually find the radiator full of bugs and I remove as much as I can using a needle or pin. Be careful with the fins because they are very delicate.
