Raditor Fan motor is not working in mehran 2004

I have Suzuki Mehran 2004, My car often got Hot yesterday Radiator Pipe burst. My mechanic replaces the pipe he Said that Car Radiator Fan's Motor is weak He switched on the car but fan is not running when He pushed the fan then fan running but running very slow. He advice me that You must replace fan motor with qabli one Cost around Rs. 1400/- including labour otherwise your radiator or gas gas kit will be burst.

I have to ask is this the fan motor problem?

Is there new motor available what is the cost of new motor?

Is mechanic quote the price is reasonable?

Please advice.

i just replaced the motor of my khyber's radiator fan for 900,and i put it in myself,old one was slower,this one is same but is running better.. he is quoting high price,i just replaced it 2-3 months back... buy it yourself,or take some one who knows how to check kabli stuff and buy with him

check the fan by giving direct current if it works fine then there is no issue the fan

btw is it auto or direct ? works on ignition ?

if the fan is direct,mean the thermostat switch has been bypassed or removed, then running slow is may be due to motor problem. If some electrician has played with ur wiring then also check any loose connection for motor. Some time due to improper joint in wires. motor can not get required current so runs at low speed.

If fan is automatic, then check thermostat switch contact resistance. Due to corrosion at contact, may be motor is not getting required current.

Finally, think to replace motor.

Your fan is bad now - most probably the carbon brushes are worn down - no repair is advisable as the fan motor will go out of balance.

running the fan motor direct all the time will reduce its life by 80%. Dont buy a used motor - it will be worn out too, buy one brand new from Pak Suzuki or install an upgraded fan like a Bosch or Spal.

And dont run the fan on direct mode all the time. Half to 60% sweep is normal for your car.
