Rank Caltex, PSO, Shell petrol

Hi for the last two years I have tried petrol from Caltex, PSO and Shell and it is my experience that PSO gives better performance than Shell and Caltex. Please give your or rankings and mention the ride. Have not yet tried Total coz not available in Islamabad.

auto: all these companies get fuel from two main refineries in Pk..
the ron grade here supplied is 89 and 90 ron. If you need better 100 ron octane you need contact in air force,, or air aviation in Pak because 100 ron is only supplied there.

As I drive a JDM, i take special note of keep fueling system clean. As its rated for 100 ron where as local assembled cars can handle lower fuel rating better, because Honda Toyota etc designed those engines accordingly. One good example is 2e engine simple easy to fix been used in Pk for more than last 15 years.

@Levin. but I feel a noticeable difference in acceleration and engine response when I load PSO, even filled from Faisalabad.

Caltex also. I avoid the PSO station in my neighborhood only because I swear he is a cheat and overchages.

i think it merely depends upon the Pump Owner on the name of good companies some bad and less Fuel also sold by many pumps.

I only ue company owned pumps ro if i know the owner so it's mainly PSO in ISB, or maybe Shell F-7, haev never used caltex in any of my current cars.

main reason i try to use the same pump every time is that if i exer get a fueling problem i can trace it back to one specific source.

Caltex...i dont know what the hell goes whenever i refill my car from PSO, the car goes out of fuel in a very short period of time contrary to caltex...

Shell claims it High Octane (HOBC) as 98 octane and premium unleaded at 90.

Personally I only use one pump, PSO Aga Khan Road ... trustable pumps are hard to find unless they are company operated.

i fill my cars with
Shell (98 % of the time from Libra autos behind press club karachi)
the 2% i get my tanks filled from Total its near to my residence only in case of emergencies... btw the total pump charges some 30 paisas more dont know why...

it trust Caltex Techron......! well have get filled from Caltex every time from limited Pumps....! as mostly PSO Pumps are # 1 in charging more than Fuel......they can't give u that which for which ur paying

caltex, long time back when i was traveling with my mom me and driver we were out of fuel, as usual we get out of the car and push it towards the nearest pump, as we got our fuel filled like 10 litres they will 2 to 3 litres and charged us for 10 litres so WE LOST THE TRUST ON CALTEX.

I shoudl point out that the PSO in gulberg III (liberty) claimed to have filled my merc with fuel, but just before got on the motorway (M2 to ISB) i noticed my car wasn't full so i stopped at the PSO before the motorway exit only to find that there was still 20 litres till the tank was full.

I raised hell at the 2nd pump and the manager called the other pump (liberty) and they eventually admittted overcharging me (after 20 minutes of arguing).

Still, for some reason i trust PSO (ISB & lahore M2)

its better to try company operated pumps and for cng dont try any local cng station on highway like A B C cng coz they always over charge 40 to 50 rupees, i have personal experince of this more than one time on GT road between LHE-PEW
