Defending borders and running a shop differ from each other. We are sitting here and saying that Army forces cant defend terrorists entering in our country.

If you look at the situation of Waziristan. and u already said u went to waziristan too before operation.
Things are so much different than before. Please. Now go there and have a look at the condition of that place.
2 years back. When terrorists were Near peshawar and were in shabqadar.
Do you know what they used to behave with residents there?
They wont even let anybody go out of shabqadar. I dont want to explain more.

15000 officers and jawans lost their lives for this country. and still you are saying that forces are doing nothing?

Ask people of South waziristan/Swat about present conditions and also ask what were the conditions before.

Yes Ive been to these Wzstan and other agencies in rough times too, and its quite surprising to see Mutiny fuelled and backed by locals and aliens alike. But quoting the entire threads contents speaking of protection in the big picture - HOW did the Intel not know of what was going on or about to happen? (apparently the ISI is the best as mentioned from the thread)

In summary - the border forces did not do their jobs correctly, the local enforcement was missing and the intelligence did nothing to prepare for it, Otherwise I cannot fathom that a country whose army is quite large compared to its land lost considerable men in fighting people who do not carry a flag or coat of arms.

So its perfectly normal for the border guard to let someone in with guns and explosives with ill reasons and then let the cops and govt handle it? Furthermore do you believe that the mass murder of citizens is not a threat to national security? - How many other allies of UBL were captured or killed in Pakistan, quite funny isnt it, I wonder if they or even UBL were an favourable asset to national security

I only said that this was a special case. If they were not let in to kill UBL, they would have said that we(pakistan) are hiding osama and hence justify a war against pakistan. That could later turn into a nuclear war if india also interferes...

You are saying, they should have used military force to save usama bin laden and then be labelled as a terrorist country and give amercians a solid reason to invade pakistan? cuz we dont really have resources to defend against an enemy that big. You have to make these kinds of decisions when there is 180million lives at stake. So they let them in for a few hours and kill osama and go instead of starting a war that would result in destruction of the entire country. And during the entire operation , no ordinary civilian's life was even risked...

They come from tribal areas, into the cities...no real way of stopping them other than operation in tribal areas which has already happened and has stopped all the suicide bombings...now they might carry out operation in the rest of the waziristan and problem will be solved.
If you're talking about karachi, then that is all political. Forces are trying not to interfere so that people dont start blaming them again for any civilian casualties...
