Nanga parbat was visible after the first 30 mins of trekking. Having your target in view is a good motivation.

The weather was pleasant which was a blessing in disguise for us. There was no sunshine at any part of the track. And our subject "Nanga Parbat" was giving a very cool effect.

The 2nd half of the track was relatively easy. The track was wider and it was through the jungle. There were a lot of water streams crossing the trek. As the sun descended, it got cold and we had to put on jackets / sweaters.

v have seen a jeep going reverse on this track to give us way 2 years back, and it was unbeleiveable seen,........on FM road....

The last part of the track is again a bit narrow and slippery but since the cottages of Qari Rehmet are at the far side of Fairy Meadows, our porters advised us to take a short cut. The route of the short cut was definitely much shorter than the normal route but it was very dangerous, muddy and slippery. We somehow managed to cross it and finally reached Fairy Meadows Cottages, owned by Mr. Qari Rehmet.

Time check, 6pm. WTF??? We did the track in only 2.5 hours. Farman Ali asked us if we were pathans and we looked at him in anger. Banda waise bhi to himmat wala ho sakta hai bhai.
He admired us for completing the track in such short time. The remaining two members also made it after another 30-40 mins. We were offered a complimentary qehwa which helped a lot. It was too cold at 6pm and we were told that FM received a snowfall only two days back. We felt relieved on completing the track. We put our luggage into the camps and had some chit chat with Farman and our guide Niamat.

View at 8:30pm. The mighty Nanga Parbat kept glowing in moonlight till 9-10pm after which the glow disappeared due to angle of moon. Camp Fire was arranged where all the people staying at that spot gathered to gain some heat.

We were very tired. Took our dinner, spent some time at the camp fire and went to sleep. It was quite cold and the night wasnt comfortable but we managed to pass the night somehow.
