@mamehmood, yes you will get some time, I think about a year to introduce new models / changes and options for existing ones. Now I am very sad about the Adam Revo closing down. It was a very good effort and Pakistani people were supposed to support it to give them the strength to come up with better models. We all can see the results of not buying and just waiting for that better model. The Revo fan club on Pakwheels maybe one of the threads with most number of posts but not many people bought that car.

Moreover, you can see the kind of bikes that ruled the indian streets before the Bajaj pulsar was launched and the kind of bikes that can be found there today. Hats off to that bike which caused a revolution in indian bikes. But today's pulsar is much advanced than the previous ones so we know it takes evolution to bring revolution.

Look at the Mercs and BMWs of their respective early days. And gather the strength and vision to repeat a feat like that. They had a nation that supported them to this level, and we in Pakistan have to support efforts like these which are not coming up every day.

can u tell me the future of bmw in pakistan they have started with a zeal and zest and now near to close my dear our economical situations are not so stable and consistant.

as u know we have launched 2 models at a time our Premium R1 is a hot cack now days now we are little bit free Storm production so it will be hitting roads within one week or so

not same group its an engineering based company manufacturer of different precision components like hydraulics and crankshaft etc its parent company RAVI Autos is situated at sheikhupura road Lahore and motorcycle plant where i am sitting at Raiwind road Lahore near comsats university

well, u hav 2 belive that Dlux options were not a offer 2 customer who wanted 2 buy a cg125 but was givenm option 2 add rims, disc etc.?
they launched it as a simple model, do u after hw many years of business in pak?
neary after 3 decades. when they found Pak Hero, metro 125s, n Suzuki launching bigger bikes.
so, instead of giving it option as an xtra item they can keep disc as a new model option,
2ndly did u check the same things in Suzuki SD 110 or sprinter options?
the suzuki guys say, that when they were disappinited n stoped disc models, people started asking for those.

this is the common phenomna of pakistani buyers, when any model launched they criticise and after launching new model they praise old model and preffer to by old model so let me say that our customers want to live in past

Blaming the average Pakistani biker is no good. He simply wants the right product for the right price and with features that suit his needs. Then he has additional requirement what you manufacturers call “options”. It is upon you manufacturers to meet his needs.

If the Pakistani buyer praises the previous bikes then surely there must be some logic to it. Maybe the new product failed his expectations so he prefers the old product. I would say he is compelled to fall back on the old product because the bike manufacturer failed to serve him. Try to understand his reasons.

A manufacturer must listen to the buyer. Dismissing him offhand is perilous for business. After all customer is the king and you have to provide what HE wants not what YOU think is right for him. Never think that your customer he stupid. He knows exactly what he wants. If you do not know what he WANTS then you have not done your home work properly.

From all reports and pics Ravi Piaggio looks to be a nice bike and should appeal to a wide range of users. It has the right sporty clues and looks like a practical everyday bike. This is one generation ahead of the other pak bikes and will lead to more advanced models. It is futile to expect a MPFI bike with all the frills at this stage. Change has to be gradual.

The oft repeated example of Bajaj Pulsar in this context is pointless. They cater to a different kind of a buyer whose background and usage pattern is different. In Pakistani they will flop miserably unless adapted to local expectation. You need to make your own bikes and continually innovate keeping the Pakistani customer in mind. Bajaj or a foreign origin bike is not the route.

I like the way you are freely exchanging ideas with prospective clients and interested people. Keep this exchange robust and capture the data. You will need this valuable databank as and when you revise your product range or add new features in the current bike.

Can someone please tell me, by what name this motorcycle (Ravi-Piaggio Storm 125cc)is sold in any other country in the world?
As far as I know, Piaggio does not sell any motorcycles under its own name(only scooters and 3-wheelers, including ones with two wheels in front, http://www.motorcycle.com/specs/piaggio/scooter/2007/mp3/three-wheeler.html).
But, since Piaggio is the parent company for Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa. Maybe one of their models is being sold here as STORM???. The only Storm I see on the web is a 50cc scooter???

So is is just because of a deal, with Piaggio, that this "Thing" is being "marketed" under this name or this name is being used anywhere else, from where we could get some real usage information?

Piaggio is a company which has categorized its products into brands like
Apprillia (Sports Bikes),
Duccati (American Sports & Heavy Bikes),
Moto Guzzi (Powerfull Commuter Bikes),
Vespa (Scooters & cub-Scooters),
Ape Porter (3 wheeler),
Quargo (Light Commercial Vehicles)

But in Asia, Piaggio Has its main Manufacturing facility in Peoples Republic of China with 78% Italian(Piaggio &Inc) and 22% Chinese(Zongshen, a Public Sector Engineering Company) in Foshan.

The other operational countries in asia are India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Newzealand, Indonesia, and now in Pakistan.

The asian R&D centre and International Training Centre is also established in Piaggio Foshan Motorcycles Limited.

i hav myself visited this great manufacturing facility, at the moment, there are about 150 different models of Piaggio Bikes & scooters are being manufactured in this facility and continuous R&D is being done by different operational countries.

its a place a bike lover must visit atleat once in his life. i will try to post its external view sometime.
